Ins Rampenlicht gelangten die Rohstoffe (englisch commodities) f?r ein breites Publikum vor allem w?hrend der einmaligen Rally (in der B?rsensprache ein rascher, kr?ftiger Kursanstieg) der Jahre 2007 und 2008. Roh?l, Weizen, Mais und Sojabohnen stiegen auf Rekordwerte und brachen dann Ende 2008 dramatisch ein. Unter Experten wird die Verwendung des Begriffes Blase f?r diese Entwicklung auf dem Rohstoffmarkt kontrovers diskutiert, eine deutliche ?berbewertung der Kurse l?sst sich jedoch kaum von der Hand weisen. Vom Begriff unabh?ngig werden Finanzspekulationen an diesen M?rkten zwar keine urs?chliche Schuld, jedoch ein gro?er Einfluss auf den Verlauf und das Volumen dieser historischen Wertentwicklung attestiert. Seitdem wird die Rolle von Spekulanten an diesen M?rkten ?u?erst unterschiedlich bewertet, da sie zum einen f?r eine signifikante Liquidit?tssteigerung der M?rkte stehen, vielen dieser Akteure jedoch mangelndes Verst?ndnis f?r die zu handelnde Ware, bzw. Unerfahrenheit an den Rohstoffm?rkten vorgeworfen wird. Ich m?chte mich in dieser Arbeit zum einen mit dieser Problematik, aber auch mit den Folgen solch rasanter Wertanstiege und dramatischer Kurseinbr?che befassen. Unter den Rohstoffm?rkten gilt mein Hauptaugenmerk den Agrarrohstoffen (englisch soft commodities). Zun?chst gilt es die Verflechtung zwischen Rohstoff- und Finanzm?rkten zu verdeutlichen. Am Beispiel Kaffee m?chte ich die Folgen extremer Kursbewegungen f?r Betriebe am Ende der Wertsch?pfungskette, unterst?tzt durch eigene Erfahrungen aus der Perspektive eines kleinen Familienunternehmens, aufzeigen. Beginnen m?chte ich jedoch mit einem kleinen Exkurs in die Entwicklung des Rohstoffhandels, denn obwohl das Thema ?u?erst aktuell ist, besteht Handel mit Rohstoffen seit den ersten Formen menschlicher Zivilisation. Anhand einzelner Episoden aus der Geschichte m?chte ich die Funktionsweise des Marktes verdeutlichen. The widely distributed White Mountain Red Ware has frequently been used by archaeologists to reconstruct late 13th and 14th century Western Pueblo sociopolitical and socioeconomic organization.＜/p＞＜p＞Relying primarily on stylistic analyses and the relative abundance of this ceramic ware in site assemblages, most scholars have assumed that it was manufactured within a restricted area on the southeastern edge of the Colorado Plateau and distributed via trade and exchange networks that may have involved controlled access to these ceramics.＜/p＞＜p＞This monograph critically evaluates these traditional interpretations, utilizing large-scale compositional and petrographic analyses that established multiple production zones for White Mountain Red Wareーincluding one in the Grasshopper regionーduring Pueblo IV times.
