Trajectory Anomalies in Interplanetary Spacecraft A Method for Determining Accelerations Due to Thermal Emissions and New Mission Proposals【電子書籍】[ Frederico Francisco ]

This thesis presents fundamental work that explains two mysteries concerning the trajectory of interplanetary spacecraft. For the first problem, the so-called Pioneer anomaly, a wholly new and innovative method was developed for computing all contributions to the acceleration due to onboard thermal sources. Through a careful analysis of all parts of the spacecraft Pioneer 10 and 11, the application of this methodology has yielded the observed anomalous acceleration. This marks a major achievement, given that this problem remained unsolved for more than a decade.
For the second anomaly, the flyby anomaly, a tiny glitch in the velocity of spacecraft that perform gravity assisting maneuvers on Earth, no definitive answer is put forward; however a quite promising strategy for examining the problem is provided and a new mission is proposed. The proposal largely consists in using the Galileo Navigational Satellite System to track approaching spacecraft, and in considering a small test body that approaches Earth from a highly elliptic trajectory.

Exploration of the Gas Giants and the Ice Giants, Space Missions to Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune【電子書籍】[ Patrick Stakem ]

This book will discuss the exploration of the four largest planets in our solar system, all located beyond the orbit of Mars. The first two, Jupiter and Saturn are termed the Gas Giants, and the next two, Neptune and Uranus, are the Ice Giants.

Each has an extensive set of moons, and a ring system. Each is unique in many ways. They have been explored extensively, and more information is gained every day about their composition and behavior. It's thought that some of the larger moons might harbor life beneath an icy crust. They could also provide a landing site and outpost for humans. There is a lot more to learn about these systems, and how the planets and the solar system in general formed, and behaves. Comparing this information with exo-solar systems, that we have just begun to observe, will tell us if we are unique or run-of-the-mill in the big scheme of things. We may also learn to avoid system-wide disasters and extinction events.

Flying Reactors: The Political Feasibility of Nuclear Power in Space - Cassini, Atoms for Peace, History of Space Nuclear Power, Project Prometheus, NASA and Air Force Missions【電子書籍】[ Progressive Management ]

This paper addresses the question: What mechanism(s) would improve the political feasibility of a nuclear power program for US space operations? For a period of more than 50 years, the United States has been exploring the potential of nuclear-powered reactors for use in a variety of space-based applications. From the earliest days, there have been numerous challengesーsome technical, many politicalーthat have impeded progress in every program that the United States has considered. The issues surrounding space nuclear power (SNP) are complex and multifaceted. For the United States, the development of SNP lies at the intersection of program cost benefit and the social perception of risk. The actual decision to employ SNP is finally politicalーencompassing political judgment, will, and acceptance of risk. But if the current climate surrounding nuclear use remains manifest, the future for SNP looks politically challenging.

Flying Reactors: The Political Feasibility of Nuclear Power in Space * Chapter 1 - Whither Space Nuclear Power? * Chapter 2 - Space Nuclear Power as Transscientific Public Policy * Chapter 3 - Political PermissionーThe Contemporary Dimensions * Chapter 4 - A Transscientific Political Engagement Strategy * Chapter 5 - Conclusions

Earthrise: Leadership Lessons from the Apollo Space Missions【電子書籍】[ Jeff Appelquist ]

On Sunday July 20, 1969, at 10:56 pm EST, American astronaut Neil Armstrong became the first human being to set foot upon the Moon. The Apollo 11 mission represented a moment of profound inspiration and hope at the end of what had been a really hard time. In addition to the murder of a promising young president, the 1960s had seen the escalation of America's tragic and misguided involvement in faraway Vietnam; some but not enough progress in the Civil Rights movement; multiple political assassinations; tumultuous and deadly race riots in our cities; and general social turmoil on a grand and disruptive scale.

Despite all of this, somehow, imagining the possibility of reaching the Moon brought us together, even if only for a moment. It was not just an American achievement, but an achievement for all people everywhere. The Moon landing truly represented a triumph of the human spirit.

In Earthrise, author Jeff Appelquist seeks to answer a fascinating question: What leadership lessons can we glean from the epic story of the Apollo spaceflights? In addition to Apollo 11, he details the Apollo 8 mission, which successfully orbited the Moon in 1968, and the infamous near-disaster that was Apollo 13, made famous by the words, "Houston, we've had a problem." In each of these epic voyages, and in a series of compelling companion case studies, Appelquist finds that such leadership dimensions as establishing a common purpose, developing strong relationships and trust, communicating clearly, continuing to learn, demonstrating energy and passion, and making good decisions all played a critical role. Earthrise is an essential roadmap for any person who is faced with the never-ending challenges of an ongoing leadership journey.

Shattered Dreams The Lost and Canceled Space Missions【電子書籍】[ Colin Burgess ]

Shattered Dreams delves into the personal stories and recollections of several men and women who were in line to fly a specific or future space mission but lost that opportunity due to personal reasons, mission cancellations, or even tragedies. While some of the subjects are familiar names in spaceflight history, the accounts of others are told here for the first time. Colin Burgess features spaceflight candidates from the United States, Russia, Indonesia, Australia, and Great Britain.

Shattered Dreams brings to new life such episodes and upheavals in spaceflight history as the saga of the three Apollo missions that were cancelled due to budgetary constraints and never flew; NASA astronaut Patricia Hilliard Robertson, who died of burn injuries after her airplane crashed before she had a chance to fly into space; and a female cosmonaut who might have become the first journalist to fly in space. Another NASA astronaut was preparing to fly an Apollo mission before he was diagnosed with a disqualifying illness. There is also the amazing story of the pilot who could have bailed out of his damaged aircraft but held off while heroically avoiding a populated area and later applied to NASA to fulfill his cherished dream of becoming an astronaut despite having lost both legs in the accident.

These are the incredibly human stories of competitive realists fired with an unquenchable passion. Their accounts reveal in their own wordsーand those of others close to themーhow their shared ambition would go awry through personal accidents, illness, the Challenger disaster, death, or other circumstances.

ARTEMIS 1 MOON MISSION Artemis I Launch (Space Launch System, Orion Capsule, Delay, And Future Missions)【電子書籍】[ Robert Rice ]

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) is ready to launch the latest lunar exploration mission with its most powerful unmanned rocket, which will orbit the moon in a high-altitude orbit before returning to Earth after more than 42 days. NASA expects the weather to remain 70% favorable for the launch of the Artemis 1 mission on Monday at 8:33 am EDT (6:03 pm in Indian time) in the two-hour launch window. To prepare for the crewed Artemis 2 voyage around the moon and the Artemis 3 landing mission, NASA intends to thoroughly test everything. NASA believes that the Artemis program will eventually aid in the development of technologies for Mars exploration.

The Apollo mission, which landed humans on the Moon, was named after the Greek God of the Sun after a photograph of Apollo driving his chariot over the Sun was seen by Dr. Abe Silverstein, a former director of NASA's Glenn Research Center. The initiative is appropriately named after the Greek goddess Artemis, Apollo's twin sister, since it aims to send the first woman and person of color to the moon, according to Kennedy Space Center. The moon and archery are represented by the Greek goddess Artemis.

Following the completion of the Artemis 1 mission, astronauts will return to the moon for the Artemis 2 and Artemis 3 missions. Artemis 2 will take a human crew on a lunar flyby after this maiden test mission, entering the moon's orbit and returning in eight to 10 days. The mission will currently launch in 2024. If all goes as planned, Artemis 3 might happen as soon as 2025. For the first time in 50 years, a team of astronauts will go to the moon's surface on this mission.

The Artemis 3 crew will study 13 potential locations for lunar landings, according to NASA. All are located close to the lunar South pole, an area under study by scientists. Experts believe frozen water may be found below the surface given the region's constantly cold and gloomy environment. Depending on the day of the premiere, one of these locations will serve as the destination.

Every family should have ARTEMIS 1 MOON MISSION because it is well-written, error-free, and provides particular details to keep you and your loved ones up to speed on the Space Launch System, Orion Capsule, Delay, and Future Missions.

Inside, you’ll discover:

Introduction

What Does NASA Stand For?

Artemis: What Does It Mean?

A Huntress Artemis

Artemis 1; What Is It?

The Objects

Meaning Of The Logo

Various Elements Of The Mission

Some Information Regarding The Megarocket During The Artemis 1 Mission To Lunar Orbit

Five Decades Of Manned Lunar Missions

The Present And Upcoming Missions

Very Important

The Delay

Great Cost

A Six-Week Unscrewed Test Flight Of The Orion Capsule Around The Moon And Back To Earth For A Splashdown In The Pacific Ocean Is Required By The Mission

The Challenges

Targets And Goals

Space Launch System

The Orion Capsule

CubeSats

Yeast

Enabling A World Of Intelligent Computing Both On Earth And In Space

A Quick Summary (Before And After Launch)

Orion Capsule Cameras Both Inside And Outside

Callisto And Alexa From Amazon

Benefits

Fans Of Space

Scroll up and click "Add to Cart" right now if you're prepared to arm yourself with the necessary knowledge about the ARTEMIS 1 MOON MISSION as far as exploration of the Moon-to-Mars paving roads for the first woman and first person of color to land on the moon is concerned!
