Hence the demand has arisen that patients should be entitled to choose death when pain and physical and mental deterioration have destroyed the possibility of a dignified and meaningful life and that their doctors should help them to realize this endeavor. At the present time there are seven jurisdictions in the world that, with various restrictions, have legalized the practice of assisted death -- physician-assisted suicide and/or voluntary euthanasia - to wit, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland in Europe and the states of Oregon, Washington and Montana in the United States. Four of these regimes - in the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland and the state of Oregon -- have been functioning for many years, and we have for them a substantial body of data as well as much observational research. This book is based upon this material. The literature dealing with the moral, legal and social aspects of assisted death is voluminous, but there is a paucity of writing that provides a detailed account of the way these four regimes are actually working. Many partisans, on both sides of the issue, cite existing data selectively or, at times, willfully distort the empirical evidence in order to strengthen their case. Based on the documentary record and interviews with officials and scholars, this book seeks to give the specialist as well as the general interested reader a reliable picture of the way assisted death functions and to draw relevant lessons. But in line with Article II of the Genocide Convention of 1948, Lewy stresses the crucial importance of looking closely at the intent of the perpetrators. Im Anschluss an die Anwendungsf?lle soll dem Lesen ein Praxisbeispiel gegeben werden, inwiefern ein Raspberry Pi mittels WhatsApp gesteuert werden kann. Darauffolgend werden aufkommende Schwachstellen im Rahmen von Chatbots erl?utert. So spielen hier Themen wie Datensicherheit, Pers?nlichkeitsrechte, und Cyber-Kriminalit?t eine wesentliche Rolle. Letztendlich erfolgt eine kritische W?rdigung in welcher der Einsatz von Chatbots bewertet wird. Viele Unternehmen setzen auf eigene Apps, welche aber immer seltener angenommen werden. Die Frage ist: Werden Apps von Bots verdr?ngt? 'Chatbots sind die neuen Apps ', sagte Microsofts CEO Satya Nadella Anfang des Jahres. Mit dieser Aussage ist Nadella nicht allein. So gibt es viele Entscheidungstr?ger, welche diese Meinung teilen. Die Bedeutung des Internets als Kommunikationsmittel und Unternehmensplattform ist in den letzten Jahren stark gestiegen. Weiter steigt die Anzahl der Nutzer von Social Media sowie Messaging-Diensten, wie WhatsApp (folgend WA), stetig. So ist zu beobachten, dass Messaging-Dienste inzwischen beliebter als Soziale-Medien geworden sind. Laut dem renommierten Mary Meekers Report hat das Messaging f?r die Millennials in der Kommunikation bereits heute eine gr??ere Bedeutung als Social Media. Zudem verwenden die Nutzer immer seltener station?re Ger?te. So werden inzwischen Mobile-Devices ?ber alle Lebensbereiche hinweg genutzt. Daher werden Messenger der erste Ort sein, an dem die Interaktion mit Kunden stattfindet wird. Guenter Lewy presents a few of the major arguments of those who question the relationship between morality and religion, and examines the case for the continuing dependence of morality upon religion.Beginning with Dostoevsky's The Brothers Karamazov Lewy introduces the reader to the position that morality depends on religious belief. He then follows the idea throughout history, from its origin, to its extension during the Enlightment, to the Victorians, to the roots of atheism.
