Superlattice to Nanoelectronics【電子書籍】[ Raphael Tsu ]
楽天Kobo電子書籍ストア
|

Superlattice to Nanoelectronics, Second Edition, traces the history of the development of superlattices and quantum wells from their origins in 1969. Topics discussed include the birth of the superlattice; resonant tunneling via man-made quantum well states; optical properties and Raman scattering in man-made quantum systems; dielectric function and doping of a superlattice; and quantum step and activation energy. The book also covers semiconductor atomic superlattice; Si quantum dots fabricated from annealing amorphous silicon; capacitance, dielectric constant, and doping quantum dots; porous silicon; and quantum impedance of electrons. - Written by one of the founders of this field - Delivers over 20% new material, including new research and new technological applications - Provides a basic understanding of the physics involved from first principles, while adding new depth, using basic mathematics and an explanation of the background essentials
画面が切り替わりますので、しばらくお待ち下さい。 ※ご購入は、楽天kobo商品ページからお願いします。※切り替わらない場合は、こちら をクリックして下さい。 ※このページからは注文できません。

Introduction to Surface and Superlattice Excitations【電子書籍】[ Michael .G. Cottam ]
楽天Kobo電子書籍ストア
|

Cottam and Tilley provide an introduction to the properties of wave-like excitations associated with surfaces and interfaces. The emphasis is on acoustic, optic and magnetic excitations, and apart from one section on liquid surfaces, the text concentrates on solids. The important topic of superlattices is also discussed, in which the different kinds of excitation are considered from a unified point of view. Throughout the book, the authors are careful to relate theory and experiment and all of the most important experimental techniques are described. The theoretical treatment assumes only a knowledge of undergraduate physics, except for Green function methods that are used in a few sections; these methods are developed in an appendix. The book also contains extensive references, enabling the reader to consult the research and review literature. Each of the main chapters contains problems to allow the reader to develop topics presented in the text.
画面が切り替わりますので、しばらくお待ち下さい。 ※ご購入は、楽天kobo商品ページからお願いします。※切り替わらない場合は、こちら をクリックして下さい。 ※このページからは注文できません。

Electron Statistics in Quantum Confined Superlattices【電子書籍】[ Kamakhya Prasad Ghatak ]
楽天Kobo電子書籍ストア
|

The concepts of the Electron Statistics (ES) and the ES dependent electronic properties are basic pillars in semiconductor electronics and this first-of-its-kind book deals with the said concepts in doping superlattices (SLs), quantum well, quantum wire and quantum dot SLs, effective mass SLs, SLs with graded interfaces and Fibonacci SLs under different physical conditions respectively. The influences of intense radiation and strong electric fields under said concepts have been considered together with the heavily doped SLs in this context on the basis of newly formulated the electron energy spectra in all the cases. We have suggested experimental determinations of the Einstein relation for the Diffusivity-Mobility ratio, the Debye screening length, Elastic Constants and the content of this book finds 25 different applications in the arena of nanoscience and nanotechnology.

This book contains hundred open research problems which form the integral part of the text and are useful for both PhD aspirants and researchers. It is written for post graduate students of various departments of different academic organizations, engineers and professionals in the fields of solid state electronics, materials science, solid state sciences, nano-science, nanotechnology and nano materials in general.

Contents:

Preface

Acknowledgements

About the Authors

ES in Doping Super-lattices of Non-Parabolic Materials:

ES in Doping Super-lattices and Their Quantized Counterparts

ES in Quantized Super-lattices:

The Dispersion Relations in Quantum Well Super-lattices (QWSLs)

ES in Quantum Wire Super-lattices (QWSLs)

The ES in Quantum Dot SLs

ES in SLs under Magnetic Quantization

ES in QWSLs under Magnetic Quantization

ES in SLs having Kane-Type Energy Bands in the Presence of Light Waves:

ES under Photo Excitation in SLs Having Kane-Type Energy Bands

ES in SLs having Kane-Type Energy Bands in the Presence of Electric Field:

ES under Electric Field in SLs having Kane Type Energy Bands

ES in Quantum Confined Heavily Doped (HD) Super-lattices:

ES in Doping Super-lattices of Non-Parabolic Semiconductors

ES in Doping Super-lattices of HD Non-Parabolic Semiconductors under Magnetic Quantization

ES in Heavily Doped Quantum Confined Super-lattices:

The Dispersion Relations in QWHDSLs

The ES in Quantum Wire HDSLs

The ES in Quantum Dot HDSLs

The ES in HDSLs under Magnetic Quantization

The ES in QWHDSLs under Magnetic Quantization

The ES in HDSLs having Kane-Type Energy Bands in the Presence of Light Waves:

The ES under Photo-Excitation in HDSLs having Kane-Type Energy Bands

ES in HD SLs having Kane-Type Energy Bands in the Presence of Electric Field:

ES under Electric Field in HD SLs having Kane-Type Energy Bands

ES in Fibonacci Super-lattices

Conclusion and Scope for Future Research

Appendices:

The Numerical Values of the Energy Band Constants of Few Materials

ES in Super-lattices under Tight Binding Approximations for Different Physical Conditions

ES in Heavily Doped Super-lattices under Tight Binding Approximation for Different Physical Conditions

The ES in Super-lattices under Tight Binding Approximations in the Presence of Light Waves for Different Physical Conditions

ES in HD Super-lattices under Tight Binding Approximations in the Presence of Light Waves for Different Physical Conditions

The Generalized Distribution Functions in Heavily Doped Materials

Readership: Suitable for graduate courses on materials science, condensed matter physics, nano-science and technology and solid-state sciences and devices in many Universities and Institutions in addition to both PhD students and researchers in the aforementioned fields.
Key Features:

This first book solely deals with the Electron Statistics in Quantum Confined Superlattices (SLs) and the SLs considered are doping, quantum well, quantum wire, quantum dot, III-V, II-VI, IV-VI, HgTe/CdTe (both graded interfaces and effective mass) together with their heavily doped counter parts.
