His personality changes as physical evidence suggests he is acting out in real life his nightmare character role.

He kills his first victim while in what he believes to be a nightmare, but news reports force him to realize he may have done it for real. Confused and desperate for answers, he becomes more detached from reality. As time goes on, he is less capable of distinguishing what is real and seeks professional help from a psychiatrist, an old family friend.

The doctor misdiagnoses his condition and the treatments make matters worse. Soon, Mathew loses control and gives in to his most primal instincts. Unable to control the transformation, he embraces the idea that he, in fact, is a murderous villain and abandons his real life along with everyone in it. Would Mathew make it back to his real world? Would there be anyone who wanted him to get back?

Mathew finds himself king in one of the most vicious neighborhoods of the city. She’s right.

Thea’s third pregnancy was her easiest. She wasn’t consumed with anxiety about the baby. Her baby would be fine.

But when the nurses handed Lucia to her, Thea just knew. Her baby girl was a monster. Not only was Lucia born with a full set of teeth and a devilish glint in her eye, but she’s always hungry. Indiscriminately so. One day Lucia pointed at her baby brother, looked Thea dead in the eye and said, “I eat.”

Thea doesn’t know whether to be terrified or proud of her rapacious baby girl. And as Lucia starts growing faster and talking more, dark memories bubble to the surface--flashes from Thea’s childhood that won’t release their hooks from her heart. Lucia wants to eat the world. Mother Warned You Tantrum, Cottonmouth, Mike's Place【電子書籍】[ Erick W. Miller ]

Mother Warned You is a violent dose of reality with a Christian message throughout. Adult content, just enough to make it real, also make it interesting. Before you ever get to read it, I want to say that I never had any formal training as a writer. I have heard that a little of the author goes into every character. Im sure that is natural. Teachers also tell you to write about what you know. I did just that. Those are dismal thoughts for me to digest, but, oh well, if you knew me better, youd see me throughout the book. I managed to move about the country so much, that Id be gone from an area before too many got to know me well. Lots of good people only knew me as a roofer or a carpenter. Some only knew me as Snakeman. That was all they needed to know. I kept snakes for many years and still have three.

Of course, I like to think of my self as the good guy, basically I am and usually I was. Today, I am for sure. Still, it was too easy to draw on personal thoughts and experience to develop even the most horrible of the bad guys. Every single character in all the stories was patterened after someone Ive crossed paths with in the 55 years Id lived prior to publishing this the first time. Id gotten to know (or be) some of the bad guys too well.

Tantrum is a departure from writing norms. The line between good guys and bad guys is only clear due to the truly evil nature of the villians. Cottonmouth and Mikes Place deal with a flexible style of police work that most cops only dream of. Liberal courts stymie the best efforts of good cops. These tales are about how theyd like to operate.

Teddy's Tantrum John D. Weaver and the Exoneration of the 25th Infantry, A Case Study in Empire and Narrative【電子書籍】[ Tom Durwood ]

A new retelling of the worst moment of one of our very best presidents.

In the fall of 1906, President Theodore Roosevelt lost his temper. Someone had shot up the border town of Brownsville, Texas, where the all-black 25th Infantry had recently been stationed. Multiple hearings into the raid incident dragged on, without resolution, so Roosevelt impulsively settled the matter himself. This epic outburst turned into a national drama that would last over four years and ruin over a hundred lives.

Half a century later, a writer named John D. Weaver pointed to a photograph in the family album and wondered where it had been taken. "Some Negro soldiers shot up the town," she explained, "and Teddy Roosevelt kicked them out of the Army." That fleeting remark set him on a quest over two decades long to dig up the truth about what had happened in Brownsville and bring justice to the men of the 25th Infantry.

Weaver found a story long buried by the giant reputation of "TR." One hundred and sixty-seven men of the all-black 25th Infantry had indeed been dismissed without a trial after a midnight raid in the border town of Brownsville. What is more, Weaver found that Roosevelt carried out a vendetta against the troops of the 25th Infantry, alongside of whom he had fought in Cuba, hiring private investigators to coerce "confessions" and gather the flimsiest evidence against them. Historian Lewis Gould called it "one of the most glaring miscarriages of justice in American history."

With the support of his wife, Harriett, Weaver uncovered all aspects of the entire episode and published a book, causing the U.S. Army to take another look at the whole episode, ultimately issuing an apology to the men of the 25th Infantry and awarded the sole surviving battalion member back pay-almost 70 years later!

Teddy's Tantrum is the first chronicle of the entire Brownsville story, treating Weaver's work and the troops' exoneration as an equal part of the narrative. Original scholarship with the support of leading scholars to help interpret the many aspects, roots, and consequences of the tantrum provides an account of John D. Weaver's early career and his two-decade campaign on behalf of the men of the 25th Infantry.

The Brat Stops Here! 5 Weeks (or Less) to No More Tantrums, Arguing, or Bad Behavior【電子書籍】[ Mary-Elaine Jacobsen ]

In her private practice, Mary-Elaine Jacobsen worked with thousands of parents to help them with their defiant, obnoxious, and challenging children. By following her program parents have seen their children's arguing, tantrums, and disobedience come to an end.
In THE BRAT STOPS HERE, Dr. Jacobsen comprehensively outlines her program for giving parents the essential tools they need to set limits and expectations and follow through with their kids when they cross the line. The key to Dr. Jacobsen's program is the Privileges On/Privileges Off approach. When a child does not comply with the rules of the house (which are carefully explained to the child in an age appropriate manner), he or she loses all privileges and must earn them back by apologizing, acknowledging what they would do differently, doing what was asked of them in the first place, and performing an additional chore. Following this approach consistently over the course of five weeks will have a dramatic effect on the household--including reducing tension in the interaction between parents and children, developing skills that will help children get along better at home and at school, and laying the foundation for children to become self-sufficient, responsible adults.
