Dabei werde ich mein Hauptaugenmerk auf die Personenrede und den Sprachstil der erz?hlenden Instanz richten. Dabei ist auch eine genauere Betrachtung der Erz?hlperspektive interessant, insbesondere, da diese sich dem Handlungsverlauf innerhalb des Romans anpasst. Ich will erl?utern, warum sich die einzelnen Kapitel auf den Sprachstil bezogen voneinander unterscheiden und wie Figurenrede und Erz?hlstil einander bedingen. Der Erz?hlstil ist abh?ngig von den Erlebnissen und den Bezugspunkten, mit denen der tierische Protagonist Mr. Bones im Laufe des Romans Bekanntschaft macht. Die Erz?hlerrede beh?lt zwar kontinuierlich die grammatikalisch 3. Person bei, ?ndert jedoch ihren Blickwinkel, jeweils orientiert an der zu beschreibenden Begegnung. Ziel dieser Hausarbeit ist es, zu beleuchten, inwiefern die Erz?hlperspektive und der damit verbundene Erz?hlstil in Austers Roman Timbuktu den Werdegang und die Begegnungen des Hundes Mr. Bones nachzeichnen. Das impliziert, dass ich versuchen werde, deutlich zu machen, dass die Figuren im Roman vor dem Hintergrund ihres gesellschaftlichen Standpunktes und ihrer charakter-konstitutiven Elemente direkten Einfluss auf den Sprachstil der Erz?hlerinstanz aus?ben. Hierzu m?chte ich zun?chst die im Roman vorkommenden Figuren vorstellen und dabei deren Beziehungen untereinander und deren gesellschaftlichen Kontext kurz anrei?en. Anschlie?end werde ich, die Chronologie im Roman als Orientierung verwendend, den Romantext in die einzelnen, im Roman gezeichneten, Episoden im Leben des Hundes Mr. Bones unterteilen.
