In der Sprache, der Literatur, in politischen Theorien, in der Philosophie, der Theologie und der bildenden Kunst treten diese Grundmuster menschlichen Denkens auf. Je weiter man schlie?lich 'zeitlich zur?ckgeht, desto mehr Anthropomorphismen sind zu finden, ebenso mehr irrt?mliche Erkl?rungen. Ihre au?erordentliche Verbreitung verdankt die Menschenanalogie wohl dem Verfahren, unbekannte neue Dinge oder auf andere Weise Unsagbares durch etwas Vertrautes auszudr?cken, in einer Metapher also - nichts liegt n?her, als dabei auf den menschlichen K?rper zur?ckzugreifen.'(1) Ein Ma?- und Proportionssystem auf der Grundlage des menschlichen K?rper zu entwickeln durchzieht die gesamte Entwicklung der K?nste, sowohl Architektur und Malerei als auch die Bildhauerei. Aufgrund seiner Auffassung von der Architektur als komplexe Baukunst besch?ftigte er sich neben der Architekturtheorie auch mit Stadtplanung, Bildhauerei und M?beldesign. Zudem wurde er auch malerisch und zeichnerisch kreativ. In dem seit 1920 ver?ffentlichten Magazin 'L'Esprit Nouveau' begann er das Pseudonym Le Corbusier zu verwenden. Bez?glich der Architektur sind Le Corbusiers 'F?nf Punkte zu einer neuen Architektur' von zentraler Bedeutung. Hierin thematisiert er eine radikale ?nderung der Architektur, um auf den sich beschleunigenden Progress der Technisierung und den daraus resultierenden gesellschaftlichen Wandel reagieren zu k?nnen. Um seine komplexe Theorie der Stadtplanung konsequent umsetzen zu k?nnen, besch?ftige sich der Architekt insbesondere mit dem Wohnungsbau. Beispielhaft steht hierf?r das Doppelhaus in der Wei?enhofsiedlung in Stuttgart von Le Corbusier und Pierre Jeanneret. Um seine Theorien und Visionen eine geeignete wissenschaftliche Plattform zu geben, pflegte Le Corbusier unter anderem die Mitgliedschaft im 'Congr?s Internationaux d'Architecture Moderne' (CIAM), dessen Mitbegr?nder er war. Bis in die Mitte der 1920er Jahre war Le Corbusier gesellschaftlicher und k?nstlerischer Anh?nger des kapitalistischen Systems.
