During a long and brutal recovery, he began to get his memory back and took to writing songs again, leading to the formation of the band. Best described as country and Midwestern, the Goldenrods perform old time, Tex-Mex, Cajun, country, and folk flavors that accompany tales of heartache and heartbreak alongside upbeat dance numbers.
