2020/4/17 発売輸入盤レーベル:ARS PRODUKTION収録曲:SUPER-AUDIO CD Founded in 2015, Oberton String Octet can look back on a successful career after only a few years. The eight young musicians from different nations are constantly working to expand their repertoire - from standard works and distinctive arrangements to rarities and world premieres. Here they present themselves with three string octets by Russian composers. Since their inception in 2015, the OSO has performed widely throughout Europe to critical acclaim. Highlights include performances at the 22nd Music Night of Sarajevo Festival, the Euro Chamber Festival in Gdansk (Poland), Carinthian Summer in Ossiach (Austria), Vienna Film Festival in Yekaterinburg (Russia), Kultur. LEBEN concert series in Bludenz (Austria), Jeunesse concert series in Vienna, as well as a collaborative concert with Markus Schirmer at MuTh concert hall in Vienna. Apart from this, the octet is also the Ensemble in Residence and makes regular appearances at the Steirisches Kammermusik Festival in their home region of Styria. Their recent debut at the Musikverein Graz was received with high praise after the ensemble delivered a high energy performance of works by Shostakovich, Raff and Enescu. Alongside these highlights, the octet also continues to perform various concerts at their training base of the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz, with several of their performances there having been broadcasted on Austrian national radio and TV over the years. 3,390円

Yet until the 1930s he was considered a legitimate successor to Verdi and Puccini and was one of the most frequently performed opera composers in the world. Not only did the First World War and fascism in Italy and Germany plunge him into a creative crisis, musical history overtook his tonal language, which then seemed finally obsolete after the Second World War. Much of Basso's current playing style has evolved from this experience, which has deeply influenced the way he feels and perceives interpretation. In the years that followed, Genny Basso had the privilege of listening to Ciccolini every day, trying to discover his secrets, taking his suggestions, listening to and commenting on music with him. And thanks to him Basso probably learned his most important lesson: making music is not narcissism, but full of love and sincerity. That's why his first album could not be anything but a tribute to him, to the intensity and purity of his soul, to his piano art and to the artistic lessons he left Genny Basso. This album is the result of an extraordinary adventure of self-development that began when the pianist Aldo Ciccolini offered Genny Basso to move to his house in Paris and be his personal assistant at international master classes. あめりかん・ぱい
2020/9/18 発売輸入盤レーベル: ARS PRODUKTION収録曲:SUPER-AUDIO CD A few weeks before Schubert's death in November 1828, the last two piano sonatas, A major D 959 and B flat major D 960, were written, which together with the C minor Sonata D 958 belong to the "Sonata Triad" - which can probably be called the crowning achievement of his piano work. Schubert's first draft shows how the thirty-one-year-old worked on these works simultaneously; also, the counting of B flat major as Sonata No. 3 is by Schubert's hand. The sonatas are thus cyclically arranged by the composer and have many compositional similarities. Schubert dedicated this triad to his famous contemporary, the virtuoso pianist and Mozart student Johann Nepomuk Hummel. However, it was not published until 1839 - 11 years after Schubert's death, by which time Hummel had already passed away, and so the dedication was transferred to Robert Schumann by the publisher Diabelli & Co. While the Impromptus or Moments musicaux were always very popular, the sonatas led a shadowy existence for a long time. In both sonatas we experience a wealth of different characters and contrasting emotions. The arc of tension leads from the greatest brightness to the deepest darkness, from powerful verve and chromatic turmoil in the Allegro of the A major Sonata to cantabile immersion and tenderness in the Molto moderato of B flat major. In the slow movements - the F minor Andantino in A major as well as the Andante sostenuto in C sharp minor in B flat major - a shattering sadness seizes us - indeed we experience deepest resignation and mental abyss. The wanderer Schubert is drawn to the abysmal. 4,890円

発売日: 2023/6/16輸入盤USレーベル: Ars Produktion収録曲:コメント:?The idea to record a CD of chamber music for clarinet and piano by composers from Germany, Denmark and Russia arose quite spontaneously. The starting point of our research was the "Fantasiestucke" by Niels Wilhelm Gade Op. 43. After we had successfully performed this cycle in some concert programs, the desire came to look at the genre of European instrumental romantic miniatures of the 19th and the first half of the 20th century. So it was only logical that our choice fell on the "Fantasiestucke" by Robert Schumann Op. 73. His work is a kind of starting point for the whole CD concept. The Second Sonata by Alexander Gretschaninow came into our repertoire not long ago, but took a permanent place thanks to it's luminosity, sublimity of figures and sincerity of romantic statement. The same is true of the unique "Sonata-Vocalise" by Nikolai Medtner, which is an excellent example of an organic synthesis of German and Russian schools of composers and embodies the continuity of Schumann's artistic ideals. The multidimensional term "fantasy" (in the old variant "phantasy") means "to imagine something", "to improvise". And it is precisely the rich, radiant, outstanding and - this is actually the most important thing - free imagination of the artists presented on the CD that has given us the happiness of encountering their art. This joy of fantasizing, full of inspiration, we would like to share with you.?The idea to record a CD of chamber music for clarinet and piano by composers from Germany, Denmark and Russia arose quite spontaneously. First, we have some masterpieces of the repertoire for violin (from Mozart to Mendelssohn, from Brahms and Tchaikovsky to Dvorak) to which Kreisler knew how to give a special splendor: all pieces that require a perfect balance between technical mastery and sensitivity. What follows is a selection of Kreisler's thirty or so original compositions for violin and piano, largely inspired by the salon music genre, including the trilogy of Alt-Wiener Tanzweisen with the very famous Liebesleid. Finally, we hear here pieces "a la maniere de", so called pastiches, written by the same Kreisler, but inspired by composers of the past (Wilhelm Friedemann Bach or Louis Couperin, the grandfather of the famous Francois, but also Tartini and Vivaldi) to whom he curiously attributed them. The story of these pieces is unique: intended as encores at the end of the concert, Kreisler composed them himself, taking inspiration from some Baroque composers whose scores he supposedly found in a French monastery. He put them on the program under their names, convinced that the audience's interest would be greater if they were attributed to already known and respected authors. However, when musicologists could find no further traces of these pieces, in 1935 he was almost forced to admit the hoax and defend himself with the terse statement "the name changes, the value remains".?The pieces on this CD belong to three different categories. Musical images of childhood had long been a popular topos, which probably found it's culmination in Robert Schumann's Kinderszenen op. 15. Those character pieces, however, were not intended for children's hands, but were, in Schumann's own words, "reflections of an elder for elders," not actual children's pieces. The composition of the 24 Preludes op. 28 goes back to the years 1835/36, and in them the admiration that Frederic Chopin had for Johann Sebastian Bach is evident. With this masterpiece, which gives the character piece "Praludium" or rather "Prelude" to it's first and probably highest climax, the composer took up Bach's Well-Tempered Clavier and it's sequence of 48 preludes and fugues not only in formal aspects, but also in terms of their constructive and material condensation, inspiring composers who followed him in time, such as Alexander Scriabin, Sergei Rachmaninoff, Karol Szymanovsky, but also Claude Debussy or Dmitri Shostakovich, to write comparable collections.?With his Children's Pieces for Adults, Georgian composer and pianist Nodar Gabunia created an eight-part piano cycle in 1987 in the wake of such pedagogically oriented collections as Pyotr Tchaikovsky's Children's Album op. 39, Bela Bartok's For Children Sz 42, or Dmitri Kabalevsky's Piano Pieces for Young Players op. 27, to name but a few. But Liszt's entire artistic life oscillated even more between art and religion, between freedom of expression and the strictness of dogmatic limitations. This artistic credo becomes clear not least in his piano cycle Harmonies poetiques et religieuses p.273. This very varied cycle, which dates back to 1835, combines grand concert pieces (such as Benediction de Dieu dans la solitude or Funerailles) with simple and shorter compositions, some of which incorporate Gregorian chants, with reference to a collection of poems by the French poet Alphonse de Lamartine (1790-1869). This cross-section of a poetic-religious artistic life inspired the two musicians on this recording, pianist Julia Okruashvili and cellist Laszlo Fenyo, to create this CD Harmonies Hongroises, which combines music by Franz Liszt, born in 1811 in the Kingdom of Hungary, with music by Hungarian composers from the first half of the 20th century.?"Throughout the dozen years I spent in Weimar, one great idea kept me in suspense - the renewal of music through a more intimate connection with poetry," wrote Franz Liszt in an 1860 letter to his close piano student Agnes Street-Klindworth (1825-1906). 2023/3/17 発売輸入盤レーベル: ARS PRODUKTION収録曲:The mediation of text achieves the immediate effect that an opera aria or, in particular, a song can evoke. The chamber-musical concentration that a piano song, for example, can evoke, i.e. The arrangement of a song by a singer and a pianist, can hardly be surpassed - this in a concert genre that only became established late, in the second half of the 19th century, and has nowadays often receded into the background. It is no longer just about entertainment, or even just diversion: song composition demands truthfulness, inwardness and the ability to transmit these prerequisites as a performer and to receive them as an audience. In the 150 years since 1750, a song culture has developed in European, and especially German-language, vocal music that is unique in it's music-historical significance and that has reached unsurpassed heights in the song oeuvre of Franz Schubert (1797-1828) and Robert Schumann (1810-1856). The present CD brings together piano songs to which one can attach rhapsodic, folkloristic or historicising subjects. They tell of "legends and heroes" and lead the listener into a sonorous dream world. 3,290円

There are also chickens, fish, a lion and the world-famous swan. The Chronatic Quartet pays homage to all these figures and their host and puts some fossils in their place with their individual interpretation. This is not a note-for-note transcription of the "animal defile", but it's own compositional interpretation. 3,290円

発売日: 2023/1/20輸入盤USレーベル: Ars Produktion収録曲:コメント:The Russian pianist Anastasia Yasko plays four important works by Frederic Chopin which represent the different periods in his oeuvre: two polonaises - Andante spianato et grande polonaise brillante Op. 22 and Polonaise-Fantasie Op. 61, the last Ballade Op. 52 and the Sonata Op. 58. "... The music of Frederic Chopin has always been very close to my heart. From my first years at music school and later at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory, I had a special attitude towards Chopin's music. For me, Chopin is an extremely 'pianistic' composer. He left behind more than 230 works, of which about 200 were composed exclusively for piano. But it is not only the high proportion of piano works that underlines this. In Chopin's works, the piano as an instrument represents an unmistakable, autonomous sound world, without any attempt to exceed the limits of the instrument or even to imitate other instruments. There is an almost immeasurable depth and a wide horizon in his music... One finds here everything that is so valuable for piano playing: a beautiful, quasi-vocal melodicism, which shows itself in every voice of his often polyphonic texture; the filigree brilliance of melodic passages; a particularly fine phrasing and pedaling. Chopin is often called a 'poet of the piano', but nevertheless he refrains from any particular program in his works, even despite the Romantic tradition of his time. His music speaks for itself and immerses the listener in a world of fantasy. Chopin composed in many different genres. Mastering both his complex monumental works and pianistically and musically highly intricate miniatures could be a lifetime task for any musician."The Russian pianist Anastasia Yasko plays four important works by Frederic Chopin which represent the different periods in his oeuvre: two polonaises - Andante spianato et grande polonaise brillante Op. 22 and Polonaise-Fantasie Op. 61, the last Ballade Op. 52 and the Sonata Op. 58. Terms such as "sentimentalism", "Sturm und Drang" or "pre-classical" are usually borrowed from other art forms and are potentially fraught with judgements or preconceptions. Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach is one of the key figures of this "in-between time" and one of the representatives of a radical change in musical aesthetics. The philosopher and aesthetic theorist Johann Georg Sulzer described the ideal "soulful" trio sonata in his "General Theory of the Fine Arts" (1771-1774) as follows: "The actual trio has three main voices, which concert against each other, and as it were maintain a conversation in tones." In his opinion, music should reflect "a sensitive conversation in merely passionate tones among characters that are the same or different from one another". "Singing accompaniment of the theme, appropriate to each instrument; free imitations; unexpected and melodious entrances, in which one voice falls, as it were, into the speech of the other; throughout, a comprehensible and well-cadenced singing and interjections in all voices, without one being obscured by the other; even difficulties and passages of importance, for a change, fill out the remaining part of the piece, and make the trio one of the most pleasant pieces of chamber music." Sulzer also noted, "Good trios of this kind, however, are rare." According to Sulzer, the sonatas of "our Hamburg Bach" were a prime example of this genre. They "are so eloquent that one thinks one hears not tones but an intelligible language that sets our imagination and sensibilities in motion, and entertains. [...] The sonatas by this same author, with two concertante main voices accompanied by a bass, are truly passionate conversations in tone..."In musicology, it has always been difficult to name the transitional period after the Baroque.
