In her memoirs, she describes his piano playing as "very free-spirited - as if he were improvising - with heart and soul..." During the recording, Kaya wanted to make these two aspects palpable: the loneliness and introversion on the one hand, and the openness to the spontaneous in sound and tempo shaping on the other. Hewat-Craw: "I don't think there is a more iconic song cycle than Winterreise. We wanted to announce our entry into the international song scene with a bang. This is certainly a challenge with such a prominent catalogue of recordings lining the way: wonderful artists who have given the cycle it's unique stamp. Now we have put our own stamp on it. Each interpretation of the previous artists is very individual, but the cycle is enticingly unique. There is no story or substantial plot. The real story ends before the cycle begins. The cycle is an extended epilogue that delves deep into the human psyche, revealing loneliness and despair, but also perhaps a glimmer of hope. I would challenge any artist who has no interest in exploring these themes. The fact that two composers and one female composer nevertheless became involved in this connection is evidence on the one hand of their great joy in experimentation and indispensable search for new musical expression, and on the other hand of the almost infinite richness of the harp's sound spectrum. Two of the first to set works from Poe's horror literature programmatically to music were harp virtuoso Henriette Renie (1875-1956), who in 1912 used the text "The Tell-Tale Heart" as the model for her "Ballade fantastique", and the likewise French composer Andre Caplet (1878-1925), who 12 years later musically traced the short story "The Mask of the Red Death" with his work "Conte fantastique" for string quartet and harp. Wolfram showed extraordinary musical talent from an early age. Following his education at the grammar school in Pilsen, he studied law at the University in Prague. At the same time, he also took lessons in harmony and counterpoint with Josef Drechsler and Johann Anton Ko?eluh. Joseph Wolfram's Lieder output comprises eight collections published during his lifetime (with the first collection lacking numberings), plus two songs preserved in manuscript form. As with their previous album with songs by Bohemian composer Wenzel Heinrich Veit (1806-1864), the early romantic Lieder on this recording are of extraordinary quality and both musically and emotionally on a par with those of the great composers of that time. Wolfram's music has been out of print, unjustly forgotten and thus remained unperformed, which gives this album the character of a real discovery. The life and work of Joseph Wolfram (1789-1839) was characterized, as so often during that time in history, by a dichotomy between earning a living and the pursuit of his passions.

発売日: 2020/8/7輸入盤USレーベル: Ars Produktion収録曲:コメント:The piano works of Alexander Skriabin, gathered on the newest release by Konstantin Semilakov, allow us to trace the development of his musical language through the chronological order of their composition. Starting from an early phase influenced by 19th century music, it gradually reveals a groundbreaking harmonic system that is no longer based on major-minor tonal connections. Born in Riga in 1984, pianist Konstantin Semilakovs is laureate of the First Prize of the International Piano Competition in Porto, Portugal and prizewinner of the Competition for Young Pianists Ettlingen, Germany. Since 2018 he is appointed professor of piano at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. He is passionate about researching the phenomenon of 'colour' in the classical piano repertoire and synaesthetic performing of works by the composers Olivier Messiaen and Alexander Scriabin. The piano works of Alexander Skriabin, gathered on the newest release by Konstantin Semilakov, allow us to trace the development of his musical language through the chronological order of their composition. 発売日: 2020/8/7輸入盤USレーベル: Ars Produktion収録曲:コメント:During their long study of the works of the composer Richard Mico (1590-1661), the musicians of the Concerto di Viole ensemble developed characteristic images and associations that make each of the pavanes and fantasies unique to them. Following the tradition of Mico's contemporaries, they have therefore given the pieces new titles to inspire the listeners' imagination. The Ensemble Concerto di Viole was founded in Basle in 1989 and has since then been playing with almost the same lineup. The four permanent members Arno Jochem, Brian Franklin, Brigitte Gasser and Rebeka Ruso have studied at the schola Cantorum Basiliensis at different times and also perform with various different ensembles.During their long study of the works of the composer Richard Mico (1590-1661), the musicians of the Concerto di Viole ensemble developed characteristic images and associations that make each of the pavanes and fantasies unique to them.
