Caution this book contains strong adult themes, BDSM, Powerplay and detailed sadistic sex scenes. Caution- Graphic Violence. All characters are depicted as over the age of 18.

Excerpt:
"Maybe she needs a spanking," Andrea purred, raising her eyes at Peter.
"Maybe she does," he grinned. I started backing up, my hand dragging Grace with me, but I banged into something, actually someone. It was another boy behind us. He grabbed me, throwing his arms around me, pinning my arms to my sides. There was a second boy there, and he shoved Grace forward so hard, she fell to her knees.
"What a bad little girl," Andrea said, mockingly. Peter grabbed her and dragged her up by her hair, then Tad moved forward and grabbed the waistband of Grace's pants and jerked them down off her flailing legs, leaving her naked from the waist down. Then he ripped open her shirt, and he and Peter worked it off her, leaving her nude. Andrea watched Grace struggling with a cool detached amusement, her eyes sparkling with every grunt or curse Grace made.
"Filthy language for a little girl to use," she cooed. Peter knelt and bent Grace across his knee, so her ass was facing Andrea and Cathy. Grace's entire body was flushed red with fury and humiliation as Peter brought his hand up and then swung it down against her buttocks with a loud crack.
Grace gasped, but kept her teeth gritted together, determined not to give Andrea the satisfaction of hearing her cry out. Peter was undeterred. He brought his hand up again and then swung down once more, and then again, and again, and again. I struggled uselessly against the boy holding me as Peter spanked his big hand down against Grace's ass cheek over and over. Her ass turned a deep shade of red as he smacked her. I could see Andrea's smile deepening. Grace's ass cheeks were a flaming red, and each time Peter's hand came down it left a white handprint, that quickly faded to red.

The Castaways "An Open Sea Story"【電子書籍】[ Mayne Reid ]

A boat upon the open seaーno land in sight!
It is an open boat, the size and form showing it to be the pinnace of a merchant-ship.

It is a tropical sea, with a fiery sun overhead, slowly coursing through a sky of brilliant azure.
The boat has neither sail nor mast. There are oars, but no one is using them. They lie athwart the tholes, their blades dipping in the water, with no hand upon the grasp.

And yet the boat is not empty. Seven human forms are seen within it,ーsix of them living, and one dead.
Of the living, four are full-grown men; three of them white, the fourth of an umber-brown, or bistre colour. One of the white men is tall, dark and bearded, with features bespeaking him either a European or an American, though their somewhat elongated shape and classic regularity would lead to a belief that he is the latter, and in all probability a native of New York. And so he is.

The features of the white man sitting nearest to him are in strange contrast to his, as is also the colour of his hair and skin. The hair is of a carroty shade, while his complexion, originally reddish, through long exposure to a tropical sun exhibits a yellowish, freckled appearance. The countenance so marked is unmistakably of Milesian type. So it should be, as its owner is an Irishman.

The third white man, of thin, lank frame, with face almost beardless, pale cadaverous cheeks, and eyes sunken in their sockets, and there rolling wildly, is one of those nondescripts who may be English, Irish, Scotch, or American. His dress betokens him to be a seaman, a common sailor.

He of the brown complexion, with flat spreading nose, high cheek-bones, oblique eyes, and straight, raven black hair, is evidently a native of the East, a Malay.

Maroons and the Marooned Runaways and Castaways in the Americas【

Contributions by Richard Bodek, Claire P. Curtis, Joseph Kelly, Simon Lewis, Steve Mentz, J. Brent Morris, Peter Sands, Edward Shore, and James O'Neil Spady

Commonly, the word maroon refers to someone cast away on an island. One becomes marooned, usually, through a storm at sea or by a captain as a method of punishment. But the term originally denoted escaped slaves. Though being marooned came to be associated mostly with white European castaways, the etymology invites comparison between true maroons (escaped slaves establishing new lives in the wilderness) and people who were marooned (through maritime disaster).

This volume brings together literary scholars with historians, encompassing both literal maroons such as in Brazil and South Carolina as well as metaphoric scenarios in time-travel novels and postapocalyptic narratives. Included are examples from The Tempest; Margaret Atwood’s MaddAddam trilogy; A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur’s Court; and Octavia Butler’s Kindred.

Both runaways and castaways formed new societies in the wilderness. But true maroons, escaped slaves, were not cast away; they chose to fly towards the uncertainties of the wild in pursuit of freedom. In effect, this volume gives these maroons proper credit, at the very heart of American history.

The Castaways of the Flag: The Final Adventures of the Swiss Family Robinson【電子書籍】[ Jules Verne ]

Nightーa pitch-dark night! It was almost impossible to distinguish sky from sea. From the sky, laden with clouds low and heavy, deformed and tattered, lightning flashed every now and then, followed by muffled rolls of thunder. At these flashes the horizon lit up for a moment and showed deserted and melancholy. No wave broke in foam upon the surface of the sea. There was nothing but the regular and monotonous rolling of the swell and the gleam of ripples under the lightning flashes. Not a breath moved across the vast plain of ocean, not even the hot breath of the storm. But electricity so charged the atmosphere that it escaped in phosphorescent light, and ran up and down the rigging of the boat in tongues of Saint Elmo’s fire. Although the sun had set four or five hours ago, the sweltering heat of the day had not passed. Two men talked in low tones, in the stern of a big ship’s boat that was decked in to the foot of the mast. Her foresail and jib were flapping as the monotonous rolling shook her. One of these men, holding the tiller tucked under his arm, tried to dodge the cruel swell that rolled the boat from side to side. He was a sailor, about forty years of age, thick-set and sturdy, with a frame of iron on which fatigue, privation, even despair, had never taken effect. An Englishman by nationality, this boatswain was named John Block. The other man was barely eighteen, and did not seem to belong to the sea-faring class. In the bottom of the boat, under the poop and seats, with no strength left to pull the oars, a number of human beings were lying, among them a child of five years oldーa poor little creature whose whimpering was audible, whom its mother tried to hush with idle talk and kisses. Before the mast, upon the poop, and near the jib stays, two people sat motionless and silent, hand in hand, lost in the most gloomy thoughts. So intense was the darkness that it was only by the lightning flashes that they could see each other. From the bottom of the boat a head was lifted sometimes, only to droop again at once. The boatswain spoke to the young man lying by his side. “No, no. I watched the horizon until the sun went down. No land in sightーnot a sail! But what I didn’t see this evening will perhaps be visible at dawn.” “But, bo’sun,” his companion answered, “we must get to land somewhere in the next forty-eight hours, or we shall have succumbed.” “That’s true,” John Block agreed. “Land must appearーsimply must. Why, continents and islands were made on purpose to give shelter to brave men, and one always ends by getting to them!” “If the wind helps one, bo’sun.” “That is the only reason wind was invented,” John Block replied. “To-day, as bad luck would have it, it was busy somewhere else, in the middle of the Atlantic or the Pacific perhaps, for it didn’t blow enough here to fill my cap. Yes, a jolly good gale would blow us merrily along.”

In Search of the Castaways (all three books)【電子書籍】[ Jules Verne ]

According to the Introduction: "THE three books gathered under the title "In Search of the Castaways" occupied much of Verne's attention during the three years following 1865. The characters used in these books were afterwards reintroduced in "The Mysterious Island," which was in its turn a sequel to "Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea." Thus this entire set of books form a united series upon which Verne worked intermittently during ten years. "In Search of the Castaways," which has also been published as "The Children of Captain Grant" and as "A Voyage Around the World,"is perhaps most interesting in connection with the last of these titles. It is our author's first distinctly geographical romance. By an ingenious device he sets before the rescuers a search which compels their circumnavigation of the globe around a certain parallel of the southern hemisphere. Thus they cross in turn through South America, Australia and New Zealand, besides visiting minor islands."

On the 26th of July, 1864, under a strong gale from the northeast, a magnificent yacht was steaming at full speed through the waves of the North Channel. The flag of England fluttered at her yard-arm, while at the top of the mainmast floated a blue pennon, bearing the initials E. G., worked in gold and surmounted by a ducal coronet. The yacht was called the Duncan, and belonged to Lord Glenarvan, one of the sixteen Scottish peers sitting in the House of Lords, and also a most distinguished member of the "Royal Thames Yacht Club," so celebrated throughout the United Kingdom. Lord Edward Glenarvan was on board with his young wife, Lady Helena, and one of his cousins, Major MacNabb. The Duncan, newly constructed, had just been making a trial voyage several miles beyond the Frith of Clyde, and was now on her return to Glasgow. Already Arran Island was appearing on the horizon, when the look-out signaled an enormous fish that was sporting in the wake of the yacht. The captain, John Mangles, at once informed Lord Glenarvan of the fact, who mounted on deck with Major MacNabb, and asked the captain what he thought of the animal.

1000 Castaways: Fundamentals of Economics【電子書籍】[ Clint Ballinger ]

A renegade band of Modern Monetary Theorists has overturned mainstream economics in part by emphasizing that there is not one, but two systems of modern money, the "vertical" and the "horizontal." They demonstrate conclusively how unifying our understanding of these is crucial for grasping modern economies.

"the key to understanding Modern Monetary Theory is this vertical-horizontal relationship" Warren Mosler

1000 Castaways develops Mosler's statement into a concise book-length treatment that is accessible to all readers, starting from first principles and, step-by-step, leading the reader up to the complexities of the real world.

Our one thousand castaways develop, before our eyes, a "perfect" economy, and demonstrate how the horizontal and vertical systems of money naturally emerge from still more profound inherent organizational needs of a large society.

1000 Castaways then contrasts the Island's "economics" with real-world economics, illustrating the last few steps in our economic understanding we must take in order to run our modern economies in a way that maximizes wellbeing.
