<p>This thesis makes significant advances in the quantitative understanding of two intrinsically linked yet technically very different phenomena in quantum chromodynamics (QCD). Firstly, the thesis investigates the soft probe of strong interaction topological fluctuations in the quark-gluon plasma (QGP) which is made possible via the anomalous chiral transport effects induced by such fluctuations. Here, the author makes contributions towards establishing the first comprehensive tool for quantitative prediction of the chiral magnetic effect in the QGP that is produced in heavy ion collision experiments. Secondly, the thesis deals with the hard probe of strongly coupled QGP created in heavy-ion collisions. In particular, this study addresses the basic question related to the nonperturbative color structure in the QGP via jet energy loss observables. The author further develops the CUJET computational model for jet quenching and uses it to analyze the topological degrees of freedom in quark-gluon plasma. <p>Li-Co-Mn-Ni oxides have been of extreme interest as potential positive electrode materials for next generation Li-ion batteries. Though many promising materials have been discovered and studied extensively, much debate remains in the literature about the structures of these materials. There is no consensus as to whether the lithium-rich layered materials are single-phase or form a layered-layered composite on the few nanometer length-scales. Much of this debate came about because no phase diagrams existed to describe these systems under the synthesis conditions used to make electrode materials. Detailed in this thesis are the complete Li-Co-Mn-O and Li-Mn-Ni-O phase diagrams generated by way of the combinatorial synthesis of mg-scale samples at over five hundred compositions characterized with X-ray diffraction. Selected bulk samples were used to confirm that the findings are relevant to synthesis conditions used commercially. The results help resolve a number of points of confusion and contradiction in the literature. Die Grenzen zwischen einheimischem Wort, Fremdwort und Lehnwort sind nicht immer eindeutig zu ziehen. Eine Vielzahl von Fachbegriffen und Definitionen erschweren eine einheitliche Terminologie. Simmler beispielsweise sublimiert Suffixe unter den Begriff Formationsmorphem, Fleischer unter Wortbildungsmorphem. F?r diese Arbeit sollen die Begriffe fremd und sekund?rsprachlich, Fremdwort und Lehnwort sowie Endung und Suffix gleichbedeutend sein. Weitere Begrifflichkeiten werden im jeweiligen Kapitel pr?zisiert. Hintergrund und Ausgangspunkt bildet der Aufsatz 'Form und Distribution der Fremdwortsuffixe im Neuhochdeutschen' von Ernst Dittmer. Unter anderem am Beispiel der Endung -(at)ion stellt Dittmer die These auf, da? Fremdw?rter und fremde Endungen im Deutschen andere Ableitungsmuster als einheimische aufweisen. Im Unterschied zu Wellmanns Regelwerk 'Deutsche Wortbildung - Das Substantiv' nimmt er statt vier Suffixvarianten nur eine f?r alle g?ltige Endung -tion an. Diese unterschiedlichen Sichtweisen werde ich erl?utern. Den Hauptteil meiner Untersuchung macht eine eigene Analyse der online zug?nglichen Korpora des Instituts f?r Deutsche Sprache (IdS) aus. Ich werde anhand der aus den 'Korpora der gesprochenen Sprache' erstellten W?rterliste erstens die Richtigkeit und Durchsichtigkeit der von Dittmer und Wellmann vorgeschlagenen Regeln ?berpr?fen, zweitens zeige ich einen alternativen L?sungsansatz auf mit dem Ziel, ein einheitliche Endung -ion formal und systematisch erkl?rbar zu machen. Dabei st?tze ich mich auf Teilaspekte aus Murjasovs Artikel 'Zur Wortbildungsstruktur der Ableitungen mit Fremdsuffixen' und Fuhrops Stammparadigma5 f?r fremde Endungen. A Ende behandele ich die Frage, ob die Ableitung mit dem Suffix -(at)ion als produktiv gelten kann. Hierzu habe ich in verschiedenen IdS-Korpora und im Internet recherchiert. Allen Ausf?hrungen ist die synchrone, rein formale Beschreibung gemeinsam; nur vereinzelt wird die diachrone und semantische Ebene mit einbezogen.
