Wing and Dagger Faerietales, #4【電子書籍】[ Jeannette DiLouie ]

Life is good for Italian Queen Sabrina with her fianc? at her side and her country prospering. As for the HPAC, it's so crippled as to barely be a bother, much less a threat. She doesn't worry about it anymore. Yet her old foe resurfaces in the most unexpected way. As enemy Intelligence Chief Iver explains, the human world is in danger, and Sabrina is the only one who can save it.

Agreeing to meet with the charismatic spymaster, Sabrina's informed about a faerie plot to eradicate the HPAC. And this winged group doesn't care how many innocent lives it damages in the process. Working with the human Committee to stop that threat, Sabrina knows she's walking a razor's edge. Sure, she might end up saving the world; the question is at what cost.

Up in the Air Faerietales, #3【電子書籍】[ Jeannette DiLouie ]

Six months ago, Sabrina did some serious damage to the Human Preservation and Advancement Committee. Since then, she's been busy throwing herself into the role of faerie princess, which includes some crash courses in foreign affairs. And not the fun kind, thanks to a playboy Italian prince. It's a good thing she isn't interested in him considering exactly what his real intentions are for her.

Following the trail of international betrayal leads her right back to some shade-sporting bigots she'd really rather never see again, along with a startling discovery about her dead parents. When the intrigues just keep coming, Sabrina has to figure out what little faeries are made of... and exactly how much power she has at her disposal when she's free to fly.

To Err Is Faerie Faerietales, #2【電子書籍】[ Jeannette DiLouie ]

Tucked away underground in her brother's kingdom, Princess Sabrina doesn't have the luxury of enjoying her freedom. Not when her friend Dallas is being held prisoner by the faerie-hating Human Preservation and Advancement Committee, a fate she has up-close-and- personal experience with. Frustrated with the overall fruitless efforts to find him, Sabrina puts herself out as bait in a haphazard rescue plan that quickly crashes and burns.

Instead of saving Dallas, she ends up right back on the sadistic Dr. Stewart's couch, fighting to stay sane. But one little faerie doesn't stand a chance against the full force of the HPAC. So Sabrina finds herself falling for brutally presented propaganda that could lead her to betray everything she cares for. Her only hopes are a turncoat doctor, a fellow prisoner, and a level of courage on her part that could too easily get her killed.

Not So Human Faerietales, #1【電子書籍】[ Jeannette DiLouie ]

Sabrina might not care for everything about herself, but she's still used to being a human, an orphan and an everyday average American. Yet her life changes forever the day she's followed home by four unsmiling men in dark suits and sinister shades. A crash-course in reality reveals that she's actually a faerie princess, with a royal family in Scotland and some particularly brutal enemies hunting her down in the U.S.

Fleeing the country doesn't solve her problems though. It only adds to them. With her new tiara to try on for size and a potential romance that seems bound to go badly before it begins, Sabrina still has to stay one wing ahead of the Human Preservation and Advancement Committee. Which has made its mission to ruin her life. Permanently.

Black Scholarly Activism between the Academy and Grassroots A Bridge for Identities and Social Justice【電子書籍】[ Ornette D. Clennon ]

This book explores the 'invisible' impact whiteness has on the lived 'black' experience in the UK. Using education as a philosophical and ethical framework, the author interrogates the vision of Black Radicalism proposed by Kehinde Andrews, exploring its potential applicability to grassroots activism. Clennon uses an interdisciplinary theoretical framework to draw together his previous writings on 'blackness', in effect crystallising the links between commercial (urban) blackness, the pathological structures of whiteness and institutional control. Drawing inspiration from Robbie Shilliam's cosmologically related 'hinterlands' as an antidote to the nature of colonial (Eurocentric) epistemologies, the author uses the polemical chapters as gateways to theoretical discussion about the material effects of whiteness felt on the ground. This controversial and unflinching volume will be of interest to students and scholars of race studies, particularly within education, and the lived black experience.

Life . . . Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow A Potpourri of Poetry【電子書籍】[ Jeanette Dowdell ]

Jeanette Dowdell knows that life is a miracle filled with magic that does not promise guarantees. In a potpourri of poetry, she shares diverse reflections about life, beauty, meaning, joy, sorrow, friendships, family, and special moments that all offer the same message: to never give up. Dowdells light-hearted poems begin by exploring her childhood when she refused to keep her white high-top shoes on, loved surprises in cereal boxes, and devoured delicious treats from local bakeries. As she moves into poems that explore the role of fate, misty moments, wakeful dreaming, and love, Dowdell shines a light on all that life has to offer while encouraging others live in the moment, observe the beauty around them, and build memories that last a lifetime. Life . . . Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow shares a compilation of poems that reflect on one womans unique journey through life as she learns to embrace the miracle of her existence and never give up.

Unheimlich. Sch?n. Gestrickt.
