Wegens mijn motorische handicap verbleef ik van mijn 5 jaar tot mijn 18 jaar in het M.P.I. Ten Dries te Landegem. Po?zie trok mij erg aan. Van mijn 14 jaar ben ik beginnen schrijven. In 1979 verscheen mijn eerste bundel “ikjes”, uitgegeven door de Heemkundige Kring van Nevele. Later kwamen er enkele po?zietentoonstellingen in de omgeving. Sinds mijn 18de woonde ik in het Home Ang?le Verburght. Van af toen aan besteedde ik stilletjes aan meer en meer tijd aan po?zie. In 1984 gaf ik een tweede bundel uit, dit keer in eigen beheer.. “Wroetelen” dat was voor mij een succes. Ik trok namelijk zelf naar de boekhandels. Terwijl ik aan mijn derde bundel werkte, ging ik in mei 1990 eindelijk zelfstandig wonen. In november 1990 bracht ik mijn derde bundel “Groeien naar vrijheid” uit. Drie jaar later verscheen mijn vierde dichtbundel “Liefde in ’t zicht”. Ik draag mijn gedichten zelf voor voor publiek. Dit gebeurt met een gedicht dat in mijn bundels staat, die projecteer ik dan als achtergrond met een projector. In november 1994 verscheen mijn vijfde dichtbundel “Woorden op twee benen”. Vijf jaar later stelde ik mijn nieuwe bundel “Tijdskruimels” voor.＜br /＞ In 2004 gaf ik de bundel "Broze Werkelijkheid" uit. Vier jaar later in 2008 verschijnt mijn achtste bundel "Tijd vouwt rolt zich". In 2012 kwam mijn dichtbundel “Mij naar buiten geschreven “ In 2018 bracht ik mijn dichtbundel Kleine Bloemlezing uit, in 2019 waag ik mij aan het publiceren van een e-book. Po?zie is een verruiming van mijn communicatie naar de buitenwereld toe, ik wil er mee aantonen dat het niet nodig is dat als gehandicapt persoon mensen bang van me worden. On hearing the expression 'mental causation,' you may at first think ofsomething like bending spoons by 'psychic' powers. But no, we are dealing here with something much more puzzling: doing things for reasons, i. e. , what we call agency. Psychic spoon-bending would be a fairly straightforward issue. You just exert some psychic force and bend a spoon, just like you might bend it by hand, i. e. , by physical force. The only trouble here is that psychic forces may not be in fact available '. But now you fetch an umbrella because you expect that it will rain. How does that work? Some how, it seems, you let an expectation move your limbs. But aren't your limbs already moved by nerve impulses and muscle contractions? And are expecta tions the proper kind ofitems to move things around? Mental causation is an issue that is at the heart ofthe mind-body problem, the problem of making it clear how minded creatures such as we are possi ble, and what our mindedness consists in.
