Im verwendeten Mutantenstamm befindet sich nun das lacZ-Gen anstelle des zweiten Gens im phl-Operon, es handelt sich um eine Transkriptionsfusion. Durch Phenol sollte hier also die ?-Galaktosidase-Produktion induziert werden, was sich farblich nachweisen l?sst. Neben dem Mutanten-Stamm wurde auch der zum Phenol-Abbau f?hige Wildtyp-Stamm verwendet, beide wurden in je 2 Ans?tz geteilt von denen immer einer mit Phenol versetzt wurde.
