Da diese Hinwendung zum Fair Value jedoch schrittweise erfolgte, bildete sich mit der Zeit ein Sammelsurium von FV-Bewertungsvorschriften verstreut ?ber mehrere Standards. Diese Inkonsistenzen verwirren sowohl die Bilanzierenden als auch die Bilanzleser und drohen sich mit zunehmenden Standards zu versch?rfen. Der Folgende Beitrag besch?ftigt sich zu diesem Zwecke mit dem Fair Value- Projekt des IASB. Ziel ist es zun?chst die tempor?re Situation der FVBewertung in den einzelnen Standards aufzuzeigen. Darauf wird kurz das Konvergenzvorhaben des IASB und des FASB er?rtert. Im Rahmen dieses Konvergenzvorhabens hat das IASB das Diskussionspapier 'Fair Value Measurements' auf Basis des US-GAAP SFAS 157 ver?ffentlicht.
