NORWOOD＜/strong＞, (April 20, 1881 - October 13, 1940) was a publicity agent and writer of children's books.＜br /＞ He was born in the city of Cucamonga, in San Bernardino County, California;. After graduating from Sam Bernardino High School in 1900, he became a newspaper reporter, publicity director for amusement enterprises, special representative for Stage actress Maude Adams after which he was in charge of publicity for the Ringling Brothers Circus.＜br /＞ In 1922, he authored his first children's book, "The Adventures of Diggeldy Dan", which was followed by several sequels ("In The Land Of Diggeldy Dan", 1923; "The Friends Of Diggeldy Dan", 1924).＜br /＞ In 1923, he married Ann Bussert, who was a concert and Opera singer. He went to work for the Ford Motor Company writing institutional materials like "Ford Men and Methods" (1931).
