The Problem Free Traveler【電子書籍】[ Joshua Owusu ]

I used to think travel was supposed to be chaotic rushing through airports, struggling with lost luggage, getting lost in strange cities. I thought stress was just part of the adventure. But then I figured something out: most travel problems aren't disasters. They just feel that way at the moment. With the right mindset and a few smart tricks, almost any travel hiccup can be handled calmly and quickly.

I remember my first big solo trip. I landed in a country where I didn't speak the language, my phone died, and I had no idea how to get to my hotel. Panic started to creep in. But then I took a deep breath, found a friendly face, and used a mix of gestures and a phrasebook to ask for directions. Within minutes, I was on my way, feeling like a travel genius. That moment taught me something important: travel rewards those who stay calm and get creative.

This book isn't about making travel perfect. It's about making travel easier so you can focus on the fun, not the frustrations. Because let's be honest: unexpected things will happen. Flights get delayed, suitcases take detours, and sometimes the restaurant you were excited to try is closed. But with a little preparation and the right mindset, these moments won't ruin your trip they'll just become part of the adventure.

By the time you finish reading, you'll be equipped with the skills and confidence to tackle anything from flight delays to language barriers like a seasoned explorer. You'll learn practical tips, lesser known travel hacks, and a few surprising facts that will change the way you approach travel forever.

Fun fact: Did you know that more than 25 million bags fly every single day? The chance of yours getting lost is less than 1% and even if it does, 97% of lost bags are found within 48 hours. So, deep breath. Lost luggage is rarely the disaster it feels like. And neither are most travel hiccups.

Let's make you a problem-free traveler.

Secret Bend, Oregon: A Guide to the Weird, Wonderful, and Obscure【電子書籍】[ Joshua Savage ]

Oregon, the final frontier. Early in our nation’s history, the land west of the Mississippi
River was unmapped and unexplored. Only the local indigenous peoples were familiar with the
mysterious Pacific Northwest. The states we know as Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and parts of
Wyoming and Montana were part of the vast Oregon Territory.
The history of the current Central Oregon region is filled with popular tales of Native
Americans, fur trappers, sheepherders, cattlemen, homesteaders, railroads, lumber mills, and
most recently, recreation. The lesser known but equally intriguing stories talk of ghost towns,
mining, moonshine, cults, and everything in between.
Secret Bend, Oregon: A Guide to the Weird, Wonderful, and Obscure weaves together
these tales from the past with stories from the present. It delves deeper into history and local
peculiarities to uncover why the region is so fascinating. From natural beauty to the origins of
our towns, from pristine lakes to colorful alley art, and from fantasy Hobbit houses to astronaut
training, the unique narrative of Central Oregon is enthusiastically shared in this book.
Both educational and entertaining, locals and visitors who read Secret Bend, Oregon
will walk away with a greater understanding and deeper appreciation for the area. They will
also have many new places to explore!

A Viagem Do Destroyer De Nova York Ao Brasil【電子書籍】[ Joshua Slocum ]

"A wanderlust-whetting cabinet of curiosities on paper."-- New York Times Inspiring equal parts wonder and wanderlust, Atlas Obscura is a phenomenon of a travel book that shot to the top of bestseller lists when it was first published and changed the way we think about the world, expanding our sense of how strange and marvelous it really is. This second edition takes readers to even more curious and unusual destinations, with more than 100 new places, dozens and dozens of new photographs, and two very special features: twelve city guides, covering Berlin, Budapest, Buenos Aires, Cairo, London, Los Angeles, Mexico City, Moscow, New York City, Paris, Shanghai, and Tokyo. Plus a foldout map with a dream itinerary for the ultimate around-the-world road trip. More a cabinet of curiosities than traditional guidebook, Atlas Obscura revels in the unexpected, the overlooked, the bizarre, and the mysterious. Here are natural wonders, like the dazzling glowworm caves in New Zealand, or a baobob tree in South Africa so large it has a pub inside where 15 people can sit and drink comfortably. Architectural marvels, including the M. C. Escher-like stepwells in India. Mind-boggling events, like the Baby-Jumping Festival in Spain--and no, it's not the babies doing the jumping, but masked men dressed as devils who vault over rows of squirming infants. Every page gets to the very core of why humans want to travel in the first place: to be delighted and disoriented, uprooted from the familiar and amazed by the new. With its compelling descriptions, hundreds of photographs, surprising charts, maps for every region of the world, and new city guides, it is a book you can open anywhere and be transported. But proceed with caution: It's almost impossible not to turn to the next entry, and the next, and the next.

Brand new from Bradt is Vietnam, a travel guidebook celebrating this fascinating southeast Asian country, which combines 2,000 miles of coastline ? complete with idyllic islands, golden beaches and fishing villages ? with tropical rainforests, vibrant cities, stunning inland waterways, thousand-year-old temples, terraced paddy fields, herb-infused street food and a richly varied history. Little wonder that the country is increasingly on the wish list of discerning, independent travellers.

Here you can cruise among the karst islands of Halong Bay, explore the forested mountains of the Central Highlands, go underground into the caves of Phong Nha or visit the tribal villages of Kon Tum. Alternatively, why not experience the French-style boulevards of Hanoi, the cobblestone streets of Hoi An or neighbourhood floating markets?

Written by a long-term resident, Bradt’s Vietnam not only covers the key tourist sites but casts a wider net to encompass lesser-explored alternatives and get under the skin of the country. Covering all three regions in Vietnam ? north, central and south ? this guidebook has responsible travel at its heart. Within the broad range of options suggested for sleeping and eating, what to do and where to go, particular attention is paid towards sustainability ? identifying environmentally sensitive accommodation options, experiences that contribute to the local economy, and retail outlets that support traditions and certain communities.

In Bradt’s Vietnam, you can find: advice on selecting the optimum beach destination for each season; a rich exploration of the vibrant urban caf? culture (including where to savour speciality coffee drinks in each city); dedicated street-food sections for all major towns and cities; tips on how to enjoy unmissable sites while avoiding any crowds; suggestions for getting the best out of motorbiking around the country; and insider knowledge about nightlife and cultural sights in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minch City, from speakeasy bars hidden behind bookshelves to boutique art spaces.
