Based on ten years of study, ten years of entrepreneurial experience and a further ten years of research, Zhao Yanchens Causes of Wealth of People lays out a comprehensive theory of entrepreneurship while at the same time serves as a practical guide for the entrepreneur. First published in China in 2004, this new English edition is the first translation of the book to ever be published. Religious Entrepreneurism in China’s Urban House Churches The Rise and Fall of Early Rain Reformed Presbyterian Church【電子書籍】[ Li Ma ]

This book offers a unique historical documentation of the development of the ambitious religious entrepreneurism by leaders of the Early Rain church (and later Western China Presbytery leadership), in an effort to gain social influence in China through local institution-building and global public image management. It unravels the social processes of how this Christian community with a public image of defending religious freedom in China was undermined by an internal loss of moral authority.

Based on publicly available texts from Chinese social media that aren’t readily available in the West as well as in-depth interviews, it is framed by existing scholarship in social theories of the public sphere, charismatic domination in social transition, and the role of power in organizational behaviour. These churches’ stories show how Christianity, which has long been politically marginalized in communist China, has not only adapted and challenged the socio-political status quo, but how it was also ironically shaped by the political culture.

This is an insightful and critical ethnographic study of one of modern China’s most famous house churches. As such, it will be of great interest to scholars of Religion in China as well as those working in Religious Studies, Asian studies, Chinese studies, and Mission Studies more generally.

Unconventional A Memoir of Entrepreneurism, Politics, and Pot【電子書籍】[ Jamie Andrea Garzot ]

2022 Grand Prize Finalist for The Eric Hoffer Award

2022 NYC Big Book Award Distinguished Favorite

2022 Independent Press Award Distinguished Favorite

2022 First Horizon Award Finalist

2022 International Book Award Finalist: Nonfiction Cross-Genre

An inspirational story about taking a chance, following your vision, and thriving in one of the US’s wildest emerging industries, 2022 Independent Press Award Distinguished Favorite Unconventional profiles Jamie Andrea Garzot’s journey as one of California’s legal cannabis industry pioneers.

Jamie Andrea Garzot was one of the least likely people to become a cannabis entrepreneur, advocate, and industry pioneer. She had no business background. She was not involved in politics. She had only a four-figure capital investment to start with. And, surprisingly, she had very limited experience with cannabis products. So how did Garzot find herself at the forefront of California’s cannabis movement?

In this inspirational memoir, Garzot describes her trajectory from a cannabis retail rookie navigating an unregulated market to a cannabis authority. During her time in the industry, she developed a wildly successful line of artisanal edibles, managed $12 million a year in all-cash sales, and became an advocate for cannabis legislation at the state capitolーall of which led to an eventual acquisition by High Times, one of the most recognized names in the industry. From office intrigues, personal crises, and shifting regulations to teamwork, innovation, and community leadership, Garzot, with good-natured humor, shares how thinking creatively, planning ahead, and forming connections in the most unlikely places contributed to her success in a continually shifting business landscape.

Unconventional is the story of an industry in its wild heyday, the inner workings of local and state government and cannabis’s dicey road to regulation, and the seismic changes in the way cannabis was distributed and sold. But it is also the story of one woman’s tenacious spirit and all the lessons she learned the hard wayーby refusing to give power to fear, taking risks, building community in a volatile environment, and listening to what people wantedーand how staying true to her vision paid off every step of the way.

Anyone who has ever dreamed of following their gut and reinventing their life will be inspired by Garzot’s unusual and unconventional journey.

Entrepreneurism Under Attack The Left Has No Calluses【電子書籍】[ Terry L Mather ]

The progressive left believe that the capitalists are the root cause for the inability to have an equal distribution of wealth! They refuse to debate on the facts that capitalism has had the most impact on changing poverty and servitude into freedom and the best living conditions in the world.

As we began the first chapters we profiled the small to medium businesses that represent approximately sixty percent of all employees in the United States! So, who are the so called rich? The entrepreneur who has risked everything, driving themselves to inhuman heights, lived with anxieties that few have experienced and who have a heart for every single person that they employ. Yes, that is who the rich are; that is who the left is targeting along with anyone that has assets more than their chosen standard amount.

After that same entrepreneur has suffered and endured all of those agonies of ownership, he is asked to forfeit to those that have endured none of those pains. The last question you must ask the progressive left…take away the incentive of success, give away those earned assets to the underserving and what do you think will happen to our economy, our stability as a nation and our ability to drag the under privileged up to the privileged?

The people of this country are the biggest “givers” in the world. Across this country every catastrophe is followed by massive giving. Our Elmbrook Church has a world-wide mission with more than seventy-two missionaries in the field with a budget of two and half million dollars. This is happening all over the country, church after church and charity after charity. Elmbrook church had a targeted forty thousand dollars for a Ukrainian relief fund and received over one hundred and thirty thousand dollars! Ask yourself where did that giving come from? Who were the givers? Yes, not just the entrepreneur, but all the employee/partners that are instrumental in the business success! Remember the conservative’s core beliefs…they desire to give to those that cannot but refuse to give to those that can but… will not!
