Es soll unter anderem festgestellt werden, ob sich diese im Briefverlauf ver?ndern oder konstant bleiben. Es wurde dieser Brief ausgew?hlt, da die Liebesbeziehung zwischen Oenone und Paris, eine Jugendliebe, kaum bekannt ist im Gegensatz zu seinen sp?teren Liebschaften, wie zum Beispiel mit Helena. F?r ein besseres, umfangreicheres Verst?ndnis des Briefes wird vor Beginn der Interpretation eine kurze Einf?hrung in das Werk Heroides gegeben, dem auch dieser f?nfte Brief 'Oenone an Paris' entnommen ist, und zudem knapp der Autor Ovid im Verh?ltnis zu diesem eingeordnet. Im weiteren Verlauf dieser Arbeit wird der mythologische Hintergrund zu diesem Brief erschlossen werden, sodass der Zusammenhang von den Geschehnissen mit diesem Brief deutlich wird. Eine sehr kurze Wiedergabe des Briefinhalts soll einen ersten ?berblick ?ber den Inhalt geben. Im Anschluss hieran beginnt die eigentliche Interpretation des Briefes unter der oben bereits genannten Fragestellung, sodass der Inhalt des Briefes ausf?hrlicher deutlich wird. Chr. - 17 n. Chr.), der eine offizielle politische Karriere zu Gunsten der Dichtung aufgab, z?hlt zu den sp?taugusteischen Dichtern. Durch seine Neuentwicklung der r?mischen erotischen Elegie schuf er sich eine Reputation, die er in den 'gro?en' Gattungen von Tragik, Epik und aitiologischer Elegie weiter konsolidierte. Zu seiner Liebeselegie z?hlen auch die Heroides, eine Sammlung von insgesamt 21 fiktiven Briefen, die sich in zwei Gruppen einteilen lassen: In den Briefen 1 - 14 schreiben ber?hmte mythische Frauen an ihre abwesenden M?nner oder Geliebten. Der Stoff f?r diese Briefe entstammt haupts?chlich der griechischen Epik und Tragik, st?tzt sich aber auch auf die Werke Catulls und Vergils. Bei den Briefen 16 - 21 handelt es sich um die so genannten Doppelbriefe, in denen ein Mann schreibt und eine Frau antwortet. Die Quellen f?r diese Briefpaare sind Homer, Euripides und Kallimachos . Eine Sonderstellung nimmt der 15. Brief ein, in dem Ovid die griechische Dichterin Sappho Phaon ihr Liebesleid klagen l?sst. Dieser Brief stammt nicht von Ovid. Sind die Briefe 1 - 14 und 16 - 21 noch in einem Corpus erschienen, so ist der 15. Brief separat ?berliefert. Kenney schreibt in seiner Einleitung zu Heroides XVI - XXI, dass Daniel Heinsius diesen Brief in seiner Edition zwischen die Briefe 14 und 16 eingegliedert hatte, und dieser somit Einzug in die Sammlung gefunden hatte. Die zu analysierende Textstelle 17, 75 - 90 stammt aus den Doppelbriefen. Hierbei handelt es sich um den Antwortbrief der Helena an Paris. In einem ersten Schritt werde ich die Textstelle ?bersetzen, anschlie?end in den Kontext des Doppelbriefes einordnen und sie schlie?lich in einem Zeilenkommentar inhaltlich, sprachlich und metrisch analysieren. Meine Ausf?hrungen und Erl?uterungen st?tzen sich auf die ma?geblichen Ausgaben von Kenney, Palmer und Bornecque.
