He provides an accurate description of his own extra sensory experiences and the extra sensory information revealed through his experiences.

"Theosophy" is organised into four parts. First, Steiner builds a comprehensive understanding of human nature: physical bodily nature; soul qualities; spirit being, or I-being; and the higher spiritual aspects.

In the next section, Steiner offers an extraordinary overview of the laws of reincarnation and the principles of karma, as we pass from one life to the next. This prepares us for the third section, in which he shows the various ways in which we liveーduring life on earth and after death and in the three worlds of body, soul, and spirit.

Finally, we are given a succinct description of the path of knowledge, along which each person can begin to understand the marvellous and harmonious complexity of the psycho-spiritual worlds in their fullness.

Yeats and Theosophy【電子書籍】[ Ken Monteith ]

When H. P. Blavatsky, the controversial head of the turn of the century movement Theosophy, defined "a true Theosophist" in her book The Key to Theosophy, she could have just as easily have been describing W. B. Yeats. Blavatsky writes, "A true Theosophist must put in practice the loftiest moral ideal, must strive to realize his unity with the whole of humanity, and work ceaselessly for others." Although Yeats joined Blavatsky's group in 1887, and subsequently left to help form The Golden Dawn in 1890, Yeats's career as poet and politician were very much in line with the methods set forth by Blavatsky's doctrine. My project explores how Yeats employs this pop-culture occultism in the creation of his own national literary aesthetic. This project not only examines the influence theosophy has on the literary work Yeats produced in the late 1880's and 1890's, but also Yeats's work as literary critic and anthology editor during that time. While Yeats uses theosophy's metaphysical world view to provide an underlying structure for some of his earliest poetry and drama, he uses theosophy's methods of investigation and argument to discover a metaphysical literary tradition which incorporates all of his own literary heroes into an Irish cultural tradition. Theosophy provides a methodology for Yeats to argue that both Shelley and Blake (for example) are part of a tradition that includes himself. Basing his argument in theosophy, Yeats can argue that the Irish people are a distinct race with a culture more "sincere" and "natural" than that of England.

The Key to Theosophy: Being A Clear Exposition, In The Form of Question and Answer of the Ethics, Science and Philosophy【電子書籍】[ Helena Petrovna Blavatsky ]

In the following year (1856) another volume was issued, royal octavo, of 600 pages, diamond type, of ‘Theosophical Miscellanies.’ Of the last-named work 500 copies only were issued, for gratuitous distribution to Libraries and Universities. These earlier movements, of which there were many, originated within the Church, with persons of great piety and earnestness, and of unblemished character; and all of these writings were in orthodox form, using the Christian expressions, and, like the writings of the eminent Churchman William Law, would only be distinguished by the ordinary reader for their great earnestness and piety. These were one and all but attempts to derive and explain the deeper meanings and original import of the Christian Scriptures, and to illustrate and unfold the Theosophic life. These works were soon forgotten, and are now generally unknown. They sought to reform the clergy and revive genuine piety, and were never welcomed. That one word, “Heresy,” was sufficient to bury them in the limbo of all such Utopias. At the time of the Reformation John Reuchlin made a similar attempt with the same result, though he was the intimate and trusted friend of Luther. Orthodoxy never desired to be informed and enlightened. These reformers were informed, as was Paul by Festus, that too much learning had made them mad, and that it would be dangerous to go farther. Passing by the verbiage, which was partly a matter of habit and education with these writers, and partly due to religious restraint through secular power, and coming to the core of the matter, these writings were Theosophical in the strictest sense, and pertain solely to man’s knowledge of his own nature and the higher life of the soul. The present Theosophical movement has sometimes been declared to be an attempt to convert Christendom to Buddhism, which means simply that the word ‘Heresy’ has lost its terrors and relinquished its power. Individuals in every age have more or less clearly apprehended the Theosophical doctrines and wrought them into the fabric of their lives. These doctrines belong exclusively to no religion, and are confined to no society or time. They are the birthright of every human soul. Such a thing as orthodoxy must be wrought out by each individual according to his nature and his needs, and according to his varying experience. This may explain why those who have imagined Theosophy to be a new religion have hunted in vain for its creed and its ritual. Its creed is Loyalty to Truth, and its ritual ‘To honour every truth by use.’

A Textbook of Theosophy【電子書籍】[ Charles Webster Leadbeater ]

"There is a school of philosophy still in existence of which modern culture has lost sight." In these words Mr. A.P. Sinnett began his book, The Occult World, the first popular exposition of Theosophy, published thirty years ago. [Namely in 1881.] During the years that have passed since then, many thousands have learned wisdom in that school, yet to the majority its teachings are still unknown, and they can give only the vaguest of replies to the query, "What is Theosophy?" Two books already exist which answer that question: Mr. Sinnett's Esoteric Buddhism and Dr. Besant's The Ancient Wisdom. I have no thought of entering into competition with those standard works; what I desire is to present a statement, as clear and simple as I can make it, which may be regarded as introductory to them. We often speak of Theosophy as not in itself a religion, but the truth which lies behind all religions alike. That is so; yet, from another point of view, we may surely say that it is at once a philosophy, a religion and a science. It is a philosophy, because it puts plainly before us an explanation of the scheme of evolution of both the souls and the bodies contained in our solar system. It is a religion in so far as, having shown us the course of ordinary evolution, it also puts before us and advises a method of shortening that course, so that by conscious effort we may progress more directly towards the goal. It is a science, because it treats both these subjects as matters not of theological belief but of direct knowledge obtainable by study and investigation. It asserts that man has no need to trust to blind faith, because he has within him latent powers which, when aroused, enable him to see and examine for himself, and it proceeds to prove its case by showing how those powers may be awakened. It is itself a result of the awakening of such powers by men, for the teachings which it puts before us are founded upon direct observations made in the past, and rendered possible only by such development.

I have watched and followed religion all my life and a summary will never happen it seems. My efforts have both opened and closed doors in light and darkness and fortunately the light never goes away. Once a lesson or point is understood it serves as a beacon during the worst times. When I decided to accept Gods words as truth and tried living them, His commandments became easier and troubles are now few and understood. The doctrines of men that Jesus Christ refused stand in the way of our getting to know God on a more personalized experience. God created men and awe with reverence is expected but what we have are just various forms of religion. Most fade away as time passes. Jesus was taught from the Torah. The laws and the prophets was his mainstay but he declared a change had to take place. Many modern religions no longer accept what is known as the old Testament while the new Testament plainly states that "All scripture is inspired by God and beneficial". It is the work of men that demands decision about religion. Its the reason I love the idea of tolerance. It is necessary to make way for tearing down walls that divide us and at the same time it urges us not to be misled by false prophets and teachings. I went through turmoil and stress while writing this book as spirits both of light and the dark bared reasons and insight. True students of bible may find themselves listening while people who just listen may get offended. In all our dealings with God and men, there are differences due to upbringing and cognitive natures. Most of what we know and understand has been handed down and accepted without question or search. This book offers a reminder that we should examine what we are told closely, since pure worship is needed if everlasting life is the goal. Upon finding out what is truth or not, it is our duty as people to find the acceptable way that constitutes pure worship. They can't all be right with God and he does hold us responsible, plus we will be held accountable. Like the laws of the lands, ignorance has no place. Its a fact. God does have rules. Gods Holy Spirit decides what is revealed, gained, or destroyed throughout all the times of our experience and existence. Minds can be opened and closed, depending on his purposes. He may use any of his creations as he chooses to complete any task or goal. I prayed and asked him to let me serve him. It has not stopped. You may be surprised if you knew the changes that I have been through since I started working. Life's problems do not go away but they are much easier to understand and manage because answers and solutions are normally used to conquer in the physical world and space we occupy. Nothing happens right or wrong without us making steps in those directions while taking Gods warnings and words seriously. Isaiah 45:7 tells us this. The spiritual sense and form we hope for has made confusion a master of men. Jesus is the closest example for Christians and all the other religions of the world have their own. Righteousness, I think, is what God looks for in a person. You should know that obedience leads the way to it. While there are several very accessible editions (not to mention the facsimile version of the Original Edition) of The Key to Theosophy already available in print, what does this Theosophy Trust Books edition offer that the others do not?The Theosophy Trust edition provides a high degree of readability, including several useful improvements over other editions.First, we have inserted a new set of minor section headers that indicate what that particular section discusses. These minor section headings do not replace the original section headers that also appear as line items in the Table of Contents; they simply provide some convenient reference points for the reader, and do not disturb the listings in the original Table of Contents. Second, we have selected a larger format book to allow us to set the entire book in 10.5 point Palatino Linotype, an elegant and highly readable typeface, replacing the original 9 pt. font. Taken together, this Theosophy Trust edition is a beautifully crafted book with high readability that will reward the reader with an enjoyable reading experience and be a valuable addition to their library. As to the contents, H.P. Blavatsky notes that "The purpose of this book is exactly expressed in its title, "THE KEY TO THEOSOPHY," and needs but few words of explanation. It is not a complete or exhaustive text-book of Theosophy, but only a key to unlock the door that leads to the deeper study. It traces the broad outlines of the Wisdom Religion and explains its fundamental principles, meeting, at the same time, the various objections raised by the average Western Enquirer, and endeavouring to present unfamiliar concepts in a form as simple and in language as clear as possible. That it should succeed in making Theosophy intelligible without mental effort on the part of the reader would be too much to expect; but it is hoped that the obscurity still left is of the thought, not of the language, is due to depth, not to confusion. To the mentally lazy or obtuse, Theosophy must remain a riddle; for in the world mental as in the world spiritual, each man must progress by his own efforts. The writer cannot do the reader's thinking for him, nor would the latter be any the better off if such vicarious thought were possible. The need for such an exposition as the present has long been felt among those interested in Theosophy and its work, and it is hoped that it will supply information, as free as possible from technicalities, to many whose attention has been awakened, but who, as yet, are merely puzzled and not convinced." 3,921円

Theosophy (translated)【電子書籍】[ by Rudolf Steiner ]

The purpose of this book is to give a description of certain parts of the supersensible world. Those who wish to admit only the sensible world will consider such a description a vacuous product of the imagination. But those who wish to seek the paths that lead out of the world of the senses will soon come to understand that human life only acquires value and meaning if they penetrate with their gaze into another world. This penetration does not distract man, as many fear, from 'real' life. For only by this path does he learn to stand firm and secure in life. He learns to know its causes, while, if he ignores them, he gropes like a blind man through the effects. Only through knowledge of the supersensible world does sensible 'reality' acquire meaning. Therefore, this knowledge enhances, not diminishes, our capacity for life. Only he who understands life can become a truly 'practical' man.

There is no Religion Higher than the Truth The Secret Doctrine, The Key to Theosophy, The Voice of the Silence, Studies in Occultism, Isis Unveiled【電子書籍】[ Helena Blavatsky ]

In "There is no Religion Higher than the Truth," Helena Blavatsky weaves a complex tapestry of philosophical inquiry and metaphysical exploration. The book is a profound examination of the interrelation between religion, spirituality, and the quest for ultimate truth. Blavatsky employs a rich literary style that is both poetic and intellectually rigorous, drawing heavily on ancient wisdom and esoteric traditions. Set against the backdrop of the arising theosophical movement in the late 19th century, this work challenges conventional religious dichotomies and advocates for a universal truth that transcends dogma. Helena Blavatsky, co-founder of the Theosophical Society, was a pivotal figure in the dissemination of Eastern philosophical concepts in the West. Her diverse background'??as a Russian aristocrat and a traveler in India'??exposed her to various spiritual traditions, profoundly influencing her vision of a unified spiritual philosophy. This personal journey, coupled with her commitment to fostering an understanding of complex metaphysical ideas, is palpable throughout the text. This book is indispensable for scholars, spiritual seekers, and anyone interested in the synthesis of religious thought. Blavatsky's compelling arguments provoke deep reflection and invite readers to question their own beliefs, making it a transformative read for both the novice and the seasoned philosopher.
