Telemann (father, son and godfather), only two of them were specifically composed for the oboe, namely the g-minor sonata by C.P.E. Bach and the a-minor sonata by Telemann. However, as Emma Black proves on this new release, each of these works translates beautifully to the oboe. Australian born Emma Black is the principal oboist with the Balthasar Neumann Ensemble (Thomas Hengelbrock) and principal and soloist with the Wiener Akademie (Vienna) and Le Concert de la Loge (Paris). 発売日: 2019/6/21輸入盤USレーベル: Ars Produktion収録曲:コメント:The Bach recordings on this double album with Boris Bloch were made over a period of fifteen years. They document the pianist's engagement with the timelessness of this music. "My engagement with Bach grants me the happiest moments on the piano today and leads me on a road where there are no walls and no final destinations." (Boris Bloch) Born in Odessa, the pianist and conductor Boris Bloch has long been regarded as one of the most important interpreters of classical and romantic piano music. After studying at Moscow's Tchaikovsky Conservatory under the world-renowned pianist and pedagogue Dmitri Bashkirov he soon built up a large and ever expanding repertoire extending from Scarlatti and Bach, the Viennese Classicists, Chopin and Liszt and covering the German and Russian Romantics to the most important composers of the 20th century. Bloch's detailed knowledge of the piano literature of the last three centuries, his familiarity with the entire history of music and it's protagonists along with his stupendous pianism and above all things his strong artistic personality form the basis for the much vaunted depth of expression, the abundance of color, the amazing stylistic originality and the incomparable "singing tone" of his playing, manifesting themselves equally in the careful composition of his recitals. The Bach recordings on this double album with Boris Bloch were made over a period of fifteen years. 発売日: 2023/5/19輸入盤USレーベル: Ars Produktion収録曲:コメント:?"Throughout the dozen years I spent in Weimar, one great idea kept me in suspense - the renewal of music through a more intimate connection with poetry," wrote Franz Liszt in an 1860 letter to his close piano student Agnes Street-Klindworth (1825-1906). But Liszt's entire artistic life oscillated even more between art and religion, between freedom of expression and the strictness of dogmatic limitations. This artistic credo becomes clear not least in his piano cycle Harmonies poetiques et religieuses p.273. This very varied cycle, which dates back to 1835, combines grand concert pieces (such as Benediction de Dieu dans la solitude or Funerailles) with simple and shorter compositions, some of which incorporate Gregorian chants, with reference to a collection of poems by the French poet Alphonse de Lamartine (1790-1869). This cross-section of a poetic-religious artistic life inspired the two musicians on this recording, pianist Julia Okruashvili and cellist Laszlo Fenyo, to create this CD Harmonies Hongroises, which combines music by Franz Liszt, born in 1811 in the Kingdom of Hungary, with music by Hungarian composers from the first half of the 20th century.?"Throughout the dozen years I spent in Weimar, one great idea kept me in suspense - the renewal of music through a more intimate connection with poetry," wrote Franz Liszt in an 1860 letter to his close piano student Agnes Street-Klindworth (1825-1906). 発売日: 2021/10/1輸入盤USレーベル: Ars Produktion収録曲:コメント:Konstantin Kramer has taken time (ZEIT): the recordings have "kept him alive" throughout the Corona year. They have saved him over time. They made him come to himself and forced him to deal with himself and his available time. They have helped him channel his anger and frustration. But they have also made him realize his love and passion for music and his double bass, and confirmed to him that all the time he has invested over the last few years has not been in vain... Giovanni Bottesini's "Allegro di Concerto Alla Mendelssohn" and "Reverie" are among the most beautiful compositions for the double bass as a solo instrument. The works are not only expressive and original, but represented a quantum leap in tonal variety and technical sophistication. Like no one else to this day, Bottesini ensured that the lowest of all string instruments conquered the concert stages as a concert solo instrument... The works of Czech composer and double bassist Adolf Mi?ek have formed an important part of the original repertoire for decades as the culmination of the Romantic double bass literature. In his second double bass sonata of 1910, influences of Czech folk music can be noticed... Johann Sebastian Bach most likely never experienced the double bass as a concertante solo instrument. The Sonata in D major, which he actually composed for viola da gamba and harpsichord, is one of the most popular performance pieces for the modern double bass today... "Robert Fuchs is a fabulous musician, everything is so fine and so deft, so delightfully invented!" raved Johannes Brahms about his colleague Robert Fuchs. And rightly so: the Austrian composer is one of the true Romantics of music history.Konstantin Kramer has taken time (ZEIT): the recordings have "kept him alive" throughout the Corona year. The answer lies in the recently published book "Aus der Seele mus man spielen..." Terms such as "sentimentalism", "Sturm und Drang" or "pre-classical" are usually borrowed from other art forms and are potentially fraught with judgements or preconceptions. Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach is one of the key figures of this "in-between time" and one of the representatives of a radical change in musical aesthetics. The philosopher and aesthetic theorist Johann Georg Sulzer described the ideal "soulful" trio sonata in his "General Theory of the Fine Arts" (1771-1774) as follows: "The actual trio has three main voices, which concert against each other, and as it were maintain a conversation in tones." In his opinion, music should reflect "a sensitive conversation in merely passionate tones among characters that are the same or different from one another". "Singing accompaniment of the theme, appropriate to each instrument; free imitations; unexpected and melodious entrances, in which one voice falls, as it were, into the speech of the other; throughout, a comprehensible and well-cadenced singing and interjections in all voices, without one being obscured by the other; even difficulties and passages of importance, for a change, fill out the remaining part of the piece, and make the trio one of the most pleasant pieces of chamber music." Sulzer also noted, "Good trios of this kind, however, are rare." According to Sulzer, the sonatas of "our Hamburg Bach" were a prime example of this genre. They "are so eloquent that one thinks one hears not tones but an intelligible language that sets our imagination and sensibilities in motion, and entertains. The new album by the Zurich Chamber Singers is dedicated to this beautiful repertoire, combining Passiontide and funeral music of the English and German Renaissance and Baroque with the newly commissioned piece 'De profundis' by the American composer Kevin Hartnett. Henry Purcell composed 'Funeral Sentences' in 1694 as three burial anthems from earlier drafts. These were performed as part of the royal funeral of Queen Mary II in the same year. All three are settings of texts from the funeral rites of the Book of Common Prayer. Not enough information survives about Bach's 'Jesu, meine Freude' to know whether it was indeed a particular funeral for which this motet was written; yet it has many features of German funeral music of that time. It's eleven sections are organized by choral settings of the hymn "Jesu, meine Freude" over a sacred poem by Johann Cruger. Kevin Hartnett's piece 'De profundis' was written as a commission from the Zurich Chamber Singers and was first performed in 2016 in the chapel adjoining the Grossmunster church in Zurich. The text is taken from the seven penitential psalms, which are featured prominently in the liturgy of Holy Week.Composers throughout the history of music have been inspired by Passiontide- a time of calm and expectation. 発売日: 2022/6/3輸入盤USレーベル: Ars Produktion収録曲:コメント:Gustav Mahler and Richard Strauss were united by their deep relationship to literature and especially to poetry as a source of inspiration for it's musical interpretation and transcendence into a sphere of expression that reflected their own feelings about life. Nevertheless, both composers worked on their texts in very different ways. While Mahler adjusted the texts through a multitude of interventions - omissions, rearrangements, and even his own additions - according to need and expressive demand, Strauss stuck strictly to the poems. On this release Alois Muhlbacher performs an exciting program combining the lieder of both of these composers. He is joined by pianist Franz Farnberger.Gustav Mahler and Richard Strauss were united by their deep relationship to literature and especially to poetry as a source of inspiration for it's musical interpretation and transcendence into a sphere of expression that reflected their own feelings about life.
